trilogy cocker or new pro classic mag?

I am looking to upgrade from a spyder and want to know if I should get a TRILOGY cocker or the new pro classic automag. What is better money wise? I know the mag is more upgradeable than a TRILOGY cocker. I am a back player so will the mag suit me fine. of course i am getting a level 10 bolt maybe an xvalve and some other ups. but is it good for a back/middle man.

My openly bias opinion? Get a 'Mag. I use mine in speedball and it works great at all distances. I'd have to say that the 'mag is better upclose then playing back, though.

They suck for the price. You can find used classic/minimags for $100, they are the same as the pro classic. For your price range you may as well go with the Ion. If you ever really want to be competative in the tournament scene then you'll want the ROF unless you're really really really good. Another option is the classic intimidator, I paid $350 for mine and that included the WAS board and a palmer stabilizer. The classic frame looks ugly and janky, but for me it feels just fine and balances perfect. But even if that's not your thing, you can update it to Alias standards for less than the price of a used alias. Actually much less, since the only real noticiable differance is in the trigger frame. Anyway, there are a lot of options. Whatever you get, make sure it has eyes, they are a lifesaver.

However, if want a mech. marker than you could also find an RT 'mag or a nice 'cocker in that price range.

it really depends on what you want. personally, i dont think the trilogy is the way to go, because i have heard alot of bad things abotu them. since you cant adjust them, you cant really get everything out of them that you could out of a regular cocker. the classic is a good option, but only if you are looking for a rec ball gun, i dont think it would hold up at tourneys very well at all. Again, if you have around $300, the ion is a great gun at a great price. it wont take you to the top, but if you ever want to start tourneys, you shouldnt feel outgunned. my friend just got an ion, he loves it. depending on what you have, it might make sense to go compressed air as well. I know classic mags and ions can run off co2, but for $70 at www.pbgear.com you can get a 47/3000 hpa tank which will get over 500 shots off an ion before refilling. hpa will increase your consistency and therefore your accuracy. also, you wont freeze all your o-rings off. hope this helped...

Where does the original poster ever say he is a tourney player? Rec 'baller with a full auto and ramping 'gun...not good for anyone. It's like turning loose Formula 1 cars on the nation's highways.

To the original poster - if your decision is between the Trilogy and the Pro-Classic, my preference would be the Pro-Classic. Although I have read opinions that the Trilogy Cockers are pretty good 'guns, AGD has a better quality product. I owned a Cocker a couple of years ago and now own a Classic Mag and I prefer the Mag. One guy's opinion...

Don't ramp, I'm sick of it at fields and I'm about to stop playing because everyone does it.

                          Agreed.

Posts debating F/A and ramping seemed to be the new trend, I interpreted your comment as such.

I wanted to get the mag because I have always wanted one since the first day i was on the field this kid let me try out his mag(pimped out, way beyond my belief), but he said he had his forever and it has always worked fine. i wanted to get one so over time i can fix it up, but this is when they were too expensive for me, same with cockers. Now that the trilogies cae out ant this new classic mag(THATS ALL IT IS A CLASSIC MAG WITH A RT BARREL AND A FOREGRIP WITH BOTTOMLINE) i can afford it, i was dissapointed to here the trilogies have few ups. and with the mag i can do so much more, ULE body, xvalve(or just a level10), ULT, intelliframe, and more. this is probably what i am going to get.
