I have a stock TL plus with just a boomstick as my only upgrade and they are just as good as any other gun. It may not shoot 20bps but it will still get you out. I took out 3 guys a few weeks ago. 1 had a timmy and the other 2 had cockers. It all depends on how well you can shoot what is in your hands.

I have yet to get my mag working to see how well that shoots :P

Chronobreak!!!!! Couldnt agree more about the quality aspect of kingman as of late. I bought my son a piranha SRT eforce. I was honestly shocked at how good the quality is. Nice gun for the money.

        true

I agee with most of the statements and i probably shouldnt let it get to me, but the truth is where i live in a small hillbilly town in missouri , every young kid (not saying that i am not young) thinks they are the best player out there and when they get out they get p*ssed off and throw off their mask or something when they get out and i just dont know about them sometimes, i happen to still use my piranha as a backup and i dont do to bad with it. But a week or two ago i was playing and I happened to have a bit of " cocker trouble", which if anyone know can happen quite often, i used my piranha untill it froze and had to use a spyder compact knockoff ( called a targa?)with a single trigger and i got four people out within five minutes, i understand that its not the gun.. and i realized that i was wrong about the spyder being bad or something, but i just am tired of noobs, which live here and not real tired of newbies, because ive gotten many people into the sport. just saying im tired of stupid people that live here and are unsportsmanlike. thanks for your input
( you put me in my place)

nothing qrong with a spyder. you dont need more firpower than one can lay down to play, even in top level tournaments(the e-framed ones that is). anything with more firepower is just a toy and is a crutch for lack of talent. there is no need for 17bps or 15 or whatever other ungodly speed you want. its cool to fire that fast, and you dont have to work as much, but its not even close to necessary.

there was a time before all this fancy crap, and the sport realy hasnt changed since then, the players have gotten lazier. just my 2cents from an old time player. ive watched this attitude and the BS evolve from a time when the guys with nice spyders were he ones making fun of "newbs" with crappy guns...................................

Why is it that kids who have just, "moved up" from a Spyder or other blowback, feel the need to turn around and blast them?

I've been playing since 1992 and I have the same fun playing with my Imagine that I have playing with my Cockers or Automag.

To me though it seems kids only do this with kids, or far away from the adults. I was shooting a TES the other day, I often enough find a rental marker and shoot a mechanical Pirahna. Funny, the first few games in a crowd I'm picked last.... but not often after that. When I come out with my Shocker (why oh why did I sell my beautiful shocker) I'm picked early. Kids like the status symbols, and seek to build theres up - either in there own mind or to there friends.

The reason people pick more expensive guns first is becase they dont know anybody, so they have to base the skill on their gun since it kinda shows how much the person plays. After a while everyone figures out how good each person actually is, so they start picking them instead.

Think of it this way, if we didn't have the spyder bob long wouldn't have made the timmy.

Yeah paintball equipment has both gone to the crapper and gotten better at the same time since then. I remember people used to give me crap because I bought a Mag. Those were the people shooting Stingrays. They thought I paid way too much. Laugh is on them, I still shoot that MiniMag from time to time, their stingrays are in garbage dumps.

it's not just noobs and it's not just spyders, but i get your point. i'm not really sure why so many people put faith in the idea that the marker makes the player, or that their marker is tha greatest because it is theirs, i don't even think that most of them know that that is what they're doing. i suppose it's just human nature, we do it with everything. cars, boats, houses, golf clubs, everyone has toys that they think make them better im some respect. and they love these toys completely.

i was in complete awe of my little blue splatmaster. it got me one step closer to being like my dad (who played on a league), and for me at 11 years old that was everything.
