Newbie, Nub, Noob, Noobzzorz, Muppet, Puppet, etc = New Player

    Mow = Shoot a lot.

Mow Muppets = Shoot up the new guys a lot. Which is stupid, but it seems to be the pass time of lots of walk-ons these days.

See also: Mowing Faces, Melting Babies, Mowing Nubs, Killing Muppets, Killing Kids, etc.

AKA ---> Ruining the new guy's first day of play.

On an editorial note, I think this mentality (the mowing of nubs) is what turns a lot of people off. It is also, extremely bad form/sportsmanship. The new guy shows up, rents a Tippmann, and then proceeds to get lit up every game for ten games in a row. He then tells everyone he know that paintball sucks. Then the same players that crapped all over that guy say they want the sport to grow, and that they are ambassadors. ^2

Go easy on the new guys, they will have a lot more fun. You can punish them when they decide to become your competition in a tourney. Until then, play nice. Eh?

Thanks for all of the clarification! I know what a newbie/noob is--they've been around as long as I've been playing (12 years) and I was even one once...I think
It's very good advice to take it easy on the newbs...whether you like it or not, they are the future of the sport!

I feel I need to clarify a little, now that I think about it some.

When I said play nice, I don't mean to let them win.

Play your game, but be polite about it. When the new guys hang out a whole minute, instead of putting 12 balls on them, try using just one. If you're playing speedball and you gotta bunker one, shoot him in the pack, not the back of the neck.

Its little things like that, that make the day a lot more enjoyable for the new guys, but still give them the incentive to improve.

Plus, when they do shoot someone out, they are that much more stoked, because they know you didn't just let them do it.

I have to say that im shocked as to the way a lot of you a responding to this. I always invisioned AO is a PB community open to new ideas. Jeez. Firstoff, Coolhand, Mowing Muppets in just a thing to say, it means you wanna play well and get a lot of Elims. No one seriously says it as "Im gunna ruin this kids day" its usually used like "Yo man, Im gunna mow muppets this game". Agg is not about ruining newbies days. I for one do not try to be agg, I like some of it but not all of it. I have friends however that all totally into it. But hes not an idiot. Hes nice to people that deserve respect. Im not into agg and I think the same way. Its kind hard to grasp. It goes into a lot of things. Just like a lot of people think mags are POS blenders and think there crap, many here still play with em and dont care what others think, but they have to put up with the hate. Its the same with the guys who are about agg. They play how they play, despite others hate and ridicule. I think in that sense mag users can find a common ground with the agg folks despite differenced. Just my two cents.

Well, all I can say is that all the AGGsters around here are ********. Everything I posted, came from my experiences with the AGG crowd.

Maybe your buddy is a model citizen, but I can assure you that not everyone on that train is.

That is why we give and they get the ridicule that they do, because more times than not, they guy being an *** at the field, and generally causing problems will be spouting AGG terms and curse words the whole time.

I'm sorry if the generalizations upset you or your friend, that was not my intention, but it is to be expected when one paints with such a wide brush. I am also glad to hear that the ballers around you are better folks. We could use some more of them around here.

I totally understand where your coming from CoolHand. Sadly, even if Agg werent around there would still be idiot ballers. Im not saying Im always the best, Im not gunna hold myself or all of my friends above all others. But theres a difference between when you try to be a model baller but slip up sometimes and when you purposely try to have an attitude. But no, I wasnt insulted or anything, I just wanted to elighten others.

Agg kiddies are all about attitude. It doesnt matter if they are the worst players on earth, they still talk trash like its their job. As people have been saying for a long time - "shut up and play"!

For such a well established pastime/sport of surfing/skating/skateboarding it is surprising that a link hasn't popped up.
