Well heres what I got back from the company...

            "Rob,

Parts were CERTAINLY not in that condition when shipped. I would like to get your phone number to figure out exactly what happened. We would be happy to re-anodize the work free of charge, but I definately need to establish what exactly what happened to those parts. I would appreciate if we can sort this out today. You may call us @ 906.228.9991 or leave me your number and Ill foot the long distance bill. "

            Second e-mail....

"Upon further inspection of your pictures, it appears you have experienced an anodizing failure known as dissolution. Dissolution occurs when the sealer does not seal properly. We pack parts in oil to remove smut that may be caused by buildup of sealer, and it appears that the oil penetrated the sealer during shipping and caused the finish to become blotchy/discolored. We apologize for the inconvience, and remind you that we are a bit new to the anodizing community (thus our VERY competitive pricing), this is not something we have experienced before. If you would like to resubmit your parts, Ill be sure to put a rush on them and foot the return shipping bill. If you have any other questions, feel free to respond to this email or contact me at the number provided in the previous email."

I'm going to send it back to them to have them re anodize it. If it doesn't meet up to my standard i'm moving on. Right now I will respect this company and not give them bad press as of yet.

Coolhand: I tried the oil on the parts. Restored the shine a little bit but not a noticeable difference.

Runit: If you get an anodizing i suggust Max, A+, dirtproducts.

Maggot6: If/when I ever get this gun sold, my SFL will have a trip to max anodizing

            Scatterplot: Love the picture..

            and yes my anodizing sucks..

Nice to see that they are going to make an effort to fix this problem instead of leaving you out to dry... Hopefully this guy isn't just talking a good game... Good luck...

The only thing dissolutioned is this guy for making a comment like this.

I know out of context, but I guess I have to give them credit for wanting to make it right.

                Good luck

I think it was a very responsible and professional reply to an error. They took responsibility, said they would redo it for free (and pay shipping) and then explained the error to you. I don't see how much more could have been asked for in the way of a reply. I'm actually very impressed with a company that will take responsibility for a mistake, and fix it.

That's very cool of them to accept responsibility and also take care of their mistake. +1 to them. Now, let's see what it looks like when they re-do it.

I say everyone, even a business, has a learning curve. If they are new to anno and make a few mistakes, it's to be expected, but hopefully they learn from it and become better at it. It's a mark of good customer service when a company will do what is necessary to correct the mistake and make it right for the customer.

Well I guess in a way but he never mentioned any names. In fact I thought I saw him post that he wasnt going to mention the Name until he found out how they would handle it but its not there anymore. Someone else played Dick Tracy.
