I own a shocker, they do cut alot of cornors, faded annos, weak threads, things like that. But they are reliable and easy to fix.

The anno on all my Shockers and Nerve seems to be perfect. I must be missing something if everyone has so many gripes. Every gun has a downfall or two, but there's not much on the Shocker that can go bad.

I still strongly believe both guns you are looking at are a overpriced. I'm pretty sure I'm up to date on my Mag prices and $975 for that E-mag is almost what you'd pay for it new. A year and a half ago I would have paid maybe that much but not now. I have no clue what the pricing is on the NME so I'll just leave it at that. Get a DM4. You can get them used on Ebay for $750'ish. If you do end up buying that E-mag you'll regret it. You will NEVER get your money back. You'll be lucky to get 60% back within a year.

instead, buy an ion for 285, get a nice barrel, a new reg, feedneck and trigger, then find someone to install a predator board and you will have a 600$ gun that will shoot up to 28bps with no shootdown (depending on regulator). I would not get the mag, its too much money for what you get (unless you like heavy, clunky electros with no cool modes). If you are deadset on the mag or the NME, get the NME

they look better than there predecessor, the fugliest gun known to man, the *collective gasp* revelation, plus they are great performers. I played 3 hours with one on a speedball field yesterday, and i have to say that it didn't let me down. And plus, the price is right in your range, and not many people own interceptors.
