I agree. The ion is a better gun even over a t-board. They have less recoil, better firing mode. Ligther, quieter.

You can put a predator board in the Ion, but the stock noid is not really meant to go over 17 bps. Not until there is an aftermarket one. I would wait on the board replacement.

Shoot one and then decide for yourself.

wtf is wrong with a blowback? do you actually believe it makes a difference whether a gun is open or closed bolt or seal forward or blowback? NO SON!

Unless it's a timmy or a heavy modded spyder, blowbacks kick more and have barrel rise under high rates of fire. Ions are like Mags in the fact that the force is going forward causing less barrel rise. We all like Mags right?

and btw i think there is a tboard for the ion in the works if you like them.

maybe, but its also about $150 more then geting the tboard with eyes and a new switch

but its still a spyder sear tripper. The Ion will shoot a lot smoother than the spyder, and is quieter, lower pressure (more shots). Less kick = tighter groupings.

Its not up to me, I was just giving my opinion. Its just the fact that a lot of ppl go against the ion just cause they dont like SP, not because they dont want to admit the ion shoots great.

ion=better than any spyder. i own both, and would never buy a spyder over an ion, no matter how good the spyder is.

I hated smartparts... I promised myself that I would never play with anything smartparts...I got an ION for a really good deal...I wanted to see the extent of its "cheap crappiness" and get to the bottom of all this crazy "hype" and then sell it as fast as possible. The ION made me a blue faced liar! I been ballin for 10 years now...played with everything...I have a TES(spyder clone) with eyes...the ION is amazing for the price...or any price IMO. buy it! My TES is heavy, kicks really bad and does the "blowback" thing of wearing out springs and not wanting to recock...the ION has no kick...light...fast...and dare I say perfect~

I think almost everyone has disliked SP at some time. I used to not like them either. I dont worry myself w/ all the lawsuits, etc. The gun is great. Everyone that thought it was a POS I let shoot it is drop jawed. And they are most amazed that it shoots that well for only 285 shipped.

I tried out a rocking trigger and its pretty dumb.. Its much easier to just walk a normal trigger.
