Paint fact or fiction

ok I was reading on an auto cocker forum and they were talkin about paint inflation goin up were like a 50 dollar case aof paint would be 65 and so on and so on. well thats an extra 15 bucks a case that can really add up, have any of u all heard any chatter on this matter.

I seem to recall a rumour about this last year, something to do with a shortage of a necessary ingredient. Nothing came of it then, sio I would not be worried now.

if it were paint inflation then the prices would go down.... i think this isnt true but then agian i buy my paint online cause i go to byop fields, but then agian i can go to my local shop and pick up a case of paint for 32$ of diablo heat... paint is usally really expensive at tournys n stuff

I belive it has to do with petroluem scine its needed to run machinery and deliver plus many other things it takes part in during the process...i wanna say they use it in the shell as well but then all those people at skirmish in the eating contest wouldnt be to healthy.

Fuel cost goes up...

That leads to the cost of electricity to going up, which leads to the cost of manufacturing to go up, which leads to higher product pricing if the manufacturer doesn't want to eat the additional manufacturing cost (which they never do).

It also leads to raising freight charges, which means it costs more to ship product around the globe, the end result being you pay more for the product at the counter.

yeah i thought about that. that it was production cost, but then i thought since paintball is going major corp and main stream. then maybe there risening b/c compeition is not that big any more in the since of makin people buy their product would keep there company a float,and that factor wouldn't be so great now b/c they got more in other deparments, but i could be wrong.....

Play limited paint (hopper ball, take no pods with you onto the field), pump, semi pistol (8-10 shot magazine), sling shot, blow gun, throw them by hand, use a paint brush, be the designated flag runner/sacrificial cow, camera man, ref... endless possibities.

Price will go up a litte bit, not alot, most people wont even notice it. I'd be very surprised if it was more then $5 a case (that's usually the retailer gouging you and blaiming it on the price hike), its not like the price of paint is going to double overnight. If shipping a pallet of 100 cases to a customer cost an extra $50 in shipping charges, that's only an increase of $0.50 per case.
