Halo-B with the cheetah board (From TAG) is the best hoppper imho.
eggs are made too cheaply
ricochets are even worse (except maybe the apache, only one I havent used)

I had a friend with empire-b but he upgraded it to halo, it is more reliable, and easier to use

Yea i think im gonna get a halo with cheetah board,those where my initial plans.I just thought the egg might have a smaller profile and it looks alot lighter...but thye dont sound or look to durable...the neck looks liek it is supporting to much unbalanced wieght.So ill prolly stick with my original plan and get a halo...cut it down and then get cheetah board somewhere down the road...thanks for the input all.

very good choice. or get a reloader B, you can always make a reloader B slower but cant make a rev faster. so go with a hopper that is fast so you wont look back and say "why didnt i get the faster on first"

Get an apache.
Not too slow for a ule mag, really light compared to the halo, more balenced and durable than the egg, etc. It's a nice all around hopper.

I've had 2 Halos (both jammed a fair amount), a good share of 12v Revvies (standard, X-board, and Empire Reloader), an Egg (with Y and Z boards), and a Reloader B. Currently I own a few 12v's, an Egg, one Halo, and one Reloader B, and the hopper that I use all the time is the Reloader B. It's very reliable, doesn't jam, and doesn't feel cheap like my Egg.

what if you wanna shoot more then 16?Even if you dont then you'll always know that if you want to your loader will be capable of doing so.

I realise that CKY Alliance didn't notice the irony in your post But you are off base with what you need or have to do. A Cheetah board is a drop in, one board solution you do not need a rip drive fitted since the Cheetah will reverse to clear a jam, so if you happen to already have a rip drive fitted well ok you won't need it anymore but should you be looking to buy a Halo then a Non-rip drive model is what you are looking for.
How many people have added a delrin or ally drive cone to their Halo's and Reloaders...lots of people so you can't equate additional cost as a reason for not buying something. Reloaders don't have the eye components so really they are a lot of money for what you get, but many like them as so do many don't.
Do a search for all the issues people had with the replacement upgrade boards for the Reloader when they were first released..now I do also acknowlege that there may have been a software upgrade for the Reloader (I haven't seen any annoucement to this effect only the Reloader now available as a complete unit...long time back now) The issues with Halo's are generally only marker related (detents usually or too high feednecks on the particular marker) The drive cone issue has been fixed by aftermarket parts and now the software has had the same treatment with the Cheetah board. Together with the power to the motor issue.

I acknowledge that the Cheetah is a great board, and undoubtedly the best board out right now for the Halo line of loaders... I've used other TAG boards in the past and they were all excellent. However I don't believe that the number of new features warrant the very high price tag for the vast majority of users.

I like the Rip drive... I use it to load a few balls for the chrono, and while I change the batteries in my Reloader B before every tournament, I let those batteries run dry during the in-between periods (practices, drills, etc...) and not even the Cheetah board can feed with dead batteries .

The Delrin drive cones are a great fix for a faulty component in all Halo's, but I don't see the comparison between a drive cone that will inevitably break and a board that feeds fine very close to 100% of the time.
