argument #1-have you taken apart an ion? the only plastic parts are the shell (makes no difference, jsut for looks, and can be swapped for a metal one if you so choose, and the trigger, which, people are turning to alternative-material triggers all the time now a days anyway, so, saying that the gun is made of plastic is just ignorant.

#2- speed- not at all, the spyder is capped by the board in it (yes, can be changed, but, so can the ions), but besides that, the spyder has a MUCH heavier microswitch, which dosent allow for near the ROF which is easily attainable on the ion

#3- accuracy and durability- accuracy is the same on all markers, precision on the other hand is influenced by consistency and recoil, which, in both cases, the ion out preforms the spyder. Durability- if you chose a spyder for durability, you made a mistake. Not that they cant be maintained and running fairly simply, but, see alot of spyders/clones having problems with various things all the time. Ions only seem to break when an un-educated user messes with it (the case with most markers in general going down)

Ok I see a lot of spyders and I most say I see a lot of people with some sweet ones. Now the main problem that I see with all the e-spyders is that they are used with gravity feed hoppers and co2. Once you get those higher ROF then the liquid co2 starts running thru the gun and freezes the balls and well it's just a mess.

Hopper: If you are still using a gravity feed hopper get ride of it. A revy would be better, but an evlution would be best. Yeah yeah some might find it a bit over board for a pilot, but I will eliminate a great deal of chopping.

Tank: If you are still running CO2 it would be better to get a HP tank.

Barrel: New barrel for better accuracy.

Feedneck: Definitely get a new one if you have to use that retarted vertical elbow.

Also get a lock washer or use loctite on the frame and feedneck screws. Those screws seem to like to fall off.

Plug the phrase into eBay (properly spelled) and you'll find plenty.

Glad I can help, now since you can't get n2 filled in your area. Then I'd recommand getting a palmer stabilizer. They are great if not the best reg to use while running co2. I will greatly improve the consistency of your velocity and will reduce the amount of liquid co2 going into your gun.
