It's 8 am and already 90* outside of my dock here in NJ. You know when you wake up and can drink the air you are in for a bad day.
I got hit in the same place 3 times last week. My arm still looks like I got hit by a Roger Clemens fastball. 3 times - what are the odds?
I have a pen that I realized cost $38,000. Thats right - Thirty Eight Thousand. It was the pen with the name of my college on it that they gave me 2 years ago at orientation.
Just when you didn't think that the market could get more oversturated, here comes some more Ion bodies. Pretty soon every company will make them, and you'll see them on the forums used for $20.
There are TONS of great deals out there. Angel Speed for $450? OMG.
Is there anything TRULY NEW out? Im tired of all of this re-packaging.
Props where props are due: I was impressed how Smart Parts went out and had created a brand new solenoid for their Nerve. With all of the other hype, you would think that we would have heard more about it? Does anyone actually own a Nerve? I have yet to see one. I'd love to try one out.
Speaking of nerve, here is my one paragraph review of the Ion - which I finally got to shoot.
"It feels like one of those old battery powered motorized water guns that I used to torture my brother with when I was young. The grip frame was awkward, and I could barely get my fingers into the trigger guard. Plus it rattled and sputtered with the ramp on. I didnt chrono it, but the shots were all over the place. I dont know if my results were typical, but I think they are." The kid I borrowed it from was far from a noob, so obviously I was like wtf are you doing with this? He said that he also has a Karnivorre.. and that the Ion was for sale if I knew anyone that wanted it. LOL
Seriously though - I love that fact that for under $300 you can get into the sport, go to the field, and not have to be out-gunned by the big guys. Even though I dont care for it at all, I still think that its genious, the marketing, that is..
Im also got to shoot a BKO. One of those $230 ones.. plain, no PDS.. but it still shot ropes, with a Halo didnt break a single ball, and felt like a gun 3xs its price. Ive always liked the ICD stuff.. going all the way back to the Puma. Im glad to see that they named their latest gun the "Promaster" and not the "05 Bushmaster". Maybe now someone will buy it.
Anyone ever shoot the original Promaster? WAY ahead of its time.
I hear TAG is making a Predator board for the Ion. That should be interesting, since it will cost more than half the price of the gun itself.
Emag Predator Board. My mouth is still watering. I dont know what is making more excited - the firing modes, or the fact that it will have a REAL on/off switch.
Does anyone know if Zupe is still alive?
If it is indeed AGD's strategey to sell off their existing inventory, and wait for the legal mess to settle down, then I hope they are hard at work in the R&D dept. Please please please get rid of that side hose set up. It's sooooooo 1995.
So I hear they are finally going to make the Pneumatic mag frame. $300 and a 4-6 month wait. Sorry, I just cant get excited about this anymore. Im not sure of the details of the economics of it all, but its another pre-order deal. Sight-unseen, its hard to get anyone to shell money and wait all that time for it. I hope Im wrong and they sell truckloads of these.
The same goes for Coolhands e-frame.
Sad part about it, I will still probably pick up both of them. Im such a follower.
After being constantly frustrated by the selection of Xbox titles at my local blockbuster and Hollywood videos... I joind Gamefly.com. Its a great thing. Check it out.
If my xbox had a beer dispenser and a vagina, I would never leave the house.
Hopperball - separating the real playas from the posers.
I miss 2500rnd paint cases
I am really tired of hearing all of the bickering about the different markers. Everyone has their likes and dislikes, and their own needs. Get a gun, and get out to play.
