AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
Ok this isnt going to be some kind of super accessible terrorist flamethrower any more than a nail gun is. And from what Ive seen the tanks it uses are those little propane tanks from those small camping grills. Even if you decided to make a flamethrower out of the thing, propane wouldnt work for that because it burns too fast. Smoking wont be a problem around it because all of the propane that is released gets burned when the gun shoots. And the great part is you dont have to drive to a paintball field or sporting goods store and attempt to pay ridiculous prices only to have the jackoff behind the counter break your on off valve or not fill it because they just ran out of co2. Just a quick jaunt to the neighborhood gas station works. And if somehow youre stupid enough to puncture the tank, theyre low enough pressure that it wont explode. Ive shot propane tanks before, small and large. All its going to do is shoot out, and it probably wont even be enough pressure to make the gun fly around. Probably youll just drop it and it will flop around on the ground for a bit. And the way I see it, a hot gun isnt a problem. But this is coming from an army guy who got in trouble for melting two SAW barrels on one day at a range. Just keep your hand on the hand guard, wear gloves, and youll be fine. Its not like the burns hurt that bad, and chicks dig scars. The thermal issue is definitely going to be the limiting factor with this system though as the only way to cool it would be to add more weight to the gun to radiate it better, or slap some other than air cooling system on there, like water. But then you end up with something resembling a heavy machine gun. Or I suppose they could design something with simple interchangable combustion chambers, like light machine guns have interchangable barrels. It would be pretty cool from a scenario perspective at least. I would just like to commend them though on breaking the mold and pushing R&D beyond maxing out ROF. GJ Tippman

yes i know propane doesnt make a good flame thrower but isnt it possible to. Looked it up on wikipedia and it says
"A flamethrower is a mechanical device designed to throw flames or, more correctly, project an ignited stream of liquid. It is used by the military and also by those needing controlled burning, such as in agriculture or other land management tasks. Many modern non-military flamethrowers do not utilize a burning stream of liquid, but rather ignite a stream of high pressure flammable gas, such as propane or natural gas, and are considered safer for agricultural, industrial, or recreational/entertainment use."
Only thing is you need other gasses to propel the propane out ward but im sure some one will work it out
