Don't you think that gun slightly resembles an Ion? As for owners/see'ers, how many Ions do break out of the box anyway?

For me, it's seeing two Ions stop shooting midgame through out the day. You get what you give...Originally posted by BigEvilAnd its instances like those that will give a peice of gear a bad reputation.

Roughly half the Ion's we sell in my shop don't work out of box. The other half is "broken" within a week by a battery being dead.

The strip doesn't say anything about the marker being broken. It's about a failure to read the manual on how to put the marker into anything other than the default mode it ships in.
As far as how many actually come out of the box broken I'd guess it's a small percentage really. I've seen more than were "broken" because the owner did something to them than actually didn't work out of the box. The first instinct for most of the people getting them is to take them apart without reading how to. I've seen this cause all kinds of problems from broken eye harness to breaking the barb off the solenoid.Rick Hood

Hmm. The store around my area sells a great deal of Ions... mostly, they get leaky hoses every now and then but that's about it. They seem to be pretty good for under $300.Originally posted by Commissar_LokiRoughly half the Ion's we sell in my shop don't work out of box. I don't know how many times I read that stupid manual, and I still have to clue about the settings. Must be some type of electronic-metal block that hits at age 35.

Four of the guys in my club bought Ions last winter. Two had problems.
