    My revalation

    Did I spell that right?

Anyways, I've got something to say. And take this from someone who loves mags just as much as the next guy.

They're done. Nothing (not even a pneumatic frame) will make them the mainstream muppet mower they used to be. The entire paintball community has moved on, and I think we're all a bit guilty of living in the past.

Mags are so different. Thats why I love them so much. I like being on teh field and being the only one with a mag.

Sure its kinda sad when people ask me how I got an angel frame on that shocker, but its sort of nice.

I dont know about you, but I didnt choose mags because they were fast or light, or supposedly dont chop. I chose them because I like them. I really can't explain it.

All you guys who say "I've been a mag owner for 15 years, and will never let my mag go"- Power to you. But just realise, that there are other 'better' options out there.

Someone asked me what my favorite kind of marker was the other day when I was reffing... I told him that my favorite is the mag, but it is not at all the best marker out there. I like it because I like it. I like the way it works, the way it feels, how it shoots, how I take care of it, the community surrounding it.. I just like everything about it.

I was offered a straight up trade for my Alpha Mag for some kid's IR3 in a PM once (I think it was on paintballforum.com). I told him no way.

Liking Old School stuff is great, but dont get blinded by the awesome light that is the mag.

I really dont like, and I'll go as far as saying I dispise people who are all for one thing, and ignore the other options. This is true in paintball '(woodsball vs speedball), and this is true in politics (dems vs repubs), and is pretty much true in all aspects of life.

    Be well rounded.

AGD is never coming back. Take advantage of the excellent deals they are giving us on regs and pro classics. DO take advantage of the great dealers we have and DO impress the field with the mechanical marker that you can walk to 15bps, get bounce on, bounce the bolt off a dollar bill, and weigh it in a 2 pounds.

What I'm saying is twofold. Dont worry, and dont be too biased.

Good game fellas... see you on the field.

yeah if anyone has been to spyderzone.net, they are the same way, and I cant give respect to them...they diss on whatever isnt a spyder hardcore (that was my first forum then I came here) (I feel bad but I feel that I can look down on their ignorance)
(AO is much better about covering other things than just automags btw)
mags I have much more respect for but I did recently get rid of my mag... Im very happy with my equipment, it just suits me better than my mag...
I know many people on here dont only have a mag and people that do, dont be afriad to try other things you might like them better...That was my story right there.
I think ignorant is a good word for some of what goes on here, and some just have true opinions...

I agree with most of what was said above
      Peace!

I agree with the sentiment that Alpha is expressing.

I would also have to agree that these threads do get old.

I'd add that people have been saying both of these statements for >3 years.

                    See you on the field.

I ve gotten to where I dont care if AGD is popular again. I kind of like having a rare gun on the field. As long as they dont go out of business and leave me stranded without repairs or replacement parts I will be happy.
If AGD doesnt care why should we.

This wasn't meant to be "one of those threads". This was meant to be a thread telling all those kinds of threads to just chill out, stop worrying, play some paintball, and have some fun. If your not having fun, then you should rethink what you're doing.

All of that is true. Probably won't ever reach the market share of yore. Parts will continue to be available. Tech support will be around.

                          However;

                          AGD does care.

                              I agree.

For those that feel the Mag's time is over...move on and enjoy. Why should I care or worry about it?

Even if everything written in the first post were correct (which I wont get into) my E-Mag doesn't give me any less enjoyment now then it did when I first got it. More in fact with Tuna's trigger!
