hmmm.. buying this thing and a few inserts would be a lot cheaper and lighter than buying a full freak with inserts youll never use

yeah it takes freaks. a freak insert is like $12 online which is pretty expensive for a lttle aluminum tube.. but you really only need 2 or 3 at most..

i have 2 cp one pieces and thats all i really need.. why buy a kit where only 6" matches your paint, when you could just buy 2 or 3 $35 barrels and have 12" or 14" match your paint? cp one pieces are awesome. and a single barrel is easier to clean than most barrel kits, especially a freak. my 2 cents

does spiral porting actually do anything to the paint? from all reliable stuff that i've read that says spinning paint is bad.. i want my paint as straight as possible when it leaves my barrel.

I personally don't like the freak, but I just wanted to ask to make sure and I might get one or find some machinest to just make a single piece back, none ot the incert crap.

but to hopefully answer you hijak question, porting from my experance and theory is to ballance the pressure of an acculerating (sp) paintball among other things. the better the ballance the better the performance aka accuracy & repore.

I think this is a great way to take the functionality of the Freak insterts I've got (3 sets) and move them into a light-weight barrel that doesn't shout "Smart Parts."
