Okay, a whole bunch of you have posted about people who brought paintball "out of the woods".

When Sports Illustrated wanted to write an article about paintball, who did they turn to?

How about the guy who invented the game to begin with - in the woods!

No doubt, the most influential guy in the sport is the guy who invented it.

    Charles Gaines.

Look at it this way: paintball isn't growning nearly as fast as it used to be. In fact, it may even be shrinking. The only aspect of paintball that's growing right now is scenario/woodsball.

10 years from now, when the Airball fad is over, and people get over their perception that most people who play paintball actually play on fields with inflated bunkers, will you still say that all these Airball people were the most influential of all time?

Charles Gaines. Give the man his due.

Looking good is the greatest influence on paintball.

sorry to inform you but airball is not a "fad" it is a style of play, and i do believe it is here to stay as long as paintball does.
