Finally, vids of the arachnamag... don't get excited

Alrght, I am having what seems to be either bolt stick or recharge problems. I can rip away at the trigger at what seems like 12-13bps, and the gun will fire about 5bps. It could also be because the battery is very low. Because of the higher dwell necessary on a mag, the Tboard can only get around 2k shots off of a 9.6v battery. W/e, basically the videos show that the mod works, the noid trips the sear. I am now going to send the gun off to get drilled for breakbeam eyes, a second detent, and powdercoated. Hopefully when I put the eyes in, swap in lvl 7, charge up the battery, and get a new tank fill, I can make a video showing what the marker can do, not just that it works.

I am almost certain it is a combination of battery and bolt stick/recharge problems. When I went to play on Friday night, the gun did have the problem of missing shots, but I could get off 15-20 round strings. As you see in the vids, it's horrible now. Anyways, here are the vids. Again, I am not trying to impress anyone with my awesome rof here lol, just showing that my mod worked. I still have much tinkering to do in order to get it to work well. Wish me luck!

    Dry-firing oil through the arachnamag

Attempting to fire the arachnamag on ramping... see the problems I'm having?

Any input would be appreciated. Especially from people with Hyperframes, Mako/Booh-yaahs, and Devilmags. Oh, spydermags too. Basically anyone that has experience with electro-noid tripping upgrades for mags. Could my noid be worn down?

Oh, and mods... I might have dropped in the f bomb in the second clip under my breath. I was and stil am royally ticked off that I'm having these problems. if you want, delete the link. Sorry lol.

It seems you have the same problems as me when shooting videos. Last one I made I spent all night making sure my marker was perfect and then I get ready to make the video and the hopper dies on me.

What is your dwell setting at? I was having the exact same problem with my dragun-mag before I got the tboard adjusted right. Last time I played around wtih it, I had my dwell at around 24ms I belive and my eye delay set around 20ms. Also, how low on the sear do you have the solenoid plunger sitting? Hitting the back of the valve does bring back so many memories though!

Here are pics of the gun:
Paintball Talk is the main forum for Automags.org. Here is where we talk about the sport of paintball in general and make announcements relating to the forum and website.

These pics don't have the rail milled for eyes like in the video.

Arstron, I have the noid plunger hitting the complete bottom of the sear arm. I believe my dwell is at 17ms. It's either that or 15ms.

Troen, it's a Qloader. No batteries. I don't think it's all due to the gun's battery since it was skipping shots even when the battery was freshly charged. It's gotten worse as the battery has drained, but there's something else. Might it be the board? I don't think so since Damon's Tboards all have great shot buffering and all that jazz.

Idkn, I'm just going to send it all off to KP Customs. I'll see if I can get it working smoother when it gets back.

Out of curiosity, how many shims do you have in the ULT?

I had a similar issue with my spydermag. It was weird, if I have the front crew too tight it does the same thing.

                    SOme other questions:

Is the noid plunger too far away from the sear?
Does the t-board drop the swell setting when it ramps?
Have you tried to increase/decrease the dwell?
Is the noid plunger mushroomed at the end? Does it move freely?
Can you adjust the eye holdoff? Have you tried to increase/decrease it?

Also, contact Scenario Dreams and explain the situation. It is possible you have a faulty board,
or, perhaps they can point you in the right direction to help fix this.

Hope something I said can be helpful.

No thanks. I like my Qloader. Why did you make that comment anyways?

BigEvil, I have a buttload of shims in my ULT. I believe it's the equivalent of 8 or 9 with the lvl 10 shims in there. I'll look at the possible options you listed. Thank you.

Atm, can't wait to see vids of that excal. That is a really cool gun. I don't care how heavy it is, it balances out really well.

Try bumping the dwell up to around 23 and see if that helps any. I am going to try my dwell at 17 tomorrow and see how it works, but when I was at 15 I was having bolt stick....

Thank you, I will try that. Try it at 20 too. 23 might be a little high for me seeing as my battery life is already crappy at 17. Does it work smoothly for you at 23ms?

It works very smooth, I dont have fast fingers, but here is a video I made not to long ago of me dry firing at 10 bps. I should be getting in my ultra chip so look for a new video next week showing off with ramping.
