Theoretical mechanical limitations in the 30s somewhere. Its a mechanical marker, I doubt many people pull much over 8 without reactivity. Increase the input pressure, little more bounce, it can go higher. Sound low? Most people fail to pull over 13 if truly measured on a short triggered true semi electro."Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. Its not" - Dr SuessComment

If you get the trigger going, an X valved mag is very fast. I say 15BPS plus. When sweetspoted well, they will keep up with most electros.

with a stock crossfire reg's output pressure and 7-8 shims in my ult i can do 15.5 bps (very reactive). as far as a ult in the teens with no bounce.. i have never seen that. i've never seen anyone who can walk a ult..
edit: and remember that this will make your gun illegal at most fields.. which is why i use electro when there is a no reactivity rule.. and my mag when i play recball or if the field owner doesn't care.Comment

I can walk short bursts on my ult but it isnt reliable.
And fanning is what it's all about, I can get around 14 fanning a ULT.. perfectly legal though not the most accurate way of shooting.Comment

oh yeah! i never thought about fanning a ult... i have a blade trigger thoughOriginally posted by personmanI can walk short bursts on my ult but it isnt reliable.

maybe i'll put a hump on it somehow and try it out.

word! fanning is the best way to gain bps on a mag. Although, it usually doesnt mean your holding your gun properly or very well for game purposes. Namely, snap shooting. But for just bps, its the best. I hit 12 on my local fields chrono, with no bounce. Maybe it was wrong but I'm not sure. It was a line. I dont want to sound like a mag noob and say i can hit high bps with mags but its all about the person shooting it. Most likely the chrono wasnt reading correctly but ya know its nice to think i was getting 12 bps. And for reference, i was shooting, an rt ule w/ level x, ult, apoc2k at probably 850 psi, and a evlution loader.rt ule custom, boomstick, ult,apoc2k and x board revi, i want:j&j ceramic.Comment

I tested myself with a calculator (graphing) using the parentheses, and i walked it for 5 seconds and didn't get much over 65 parentheses, which is around 13 bps, and that's the pull of a top of the line electric, maybe even better. Most people don't realize how hard it is to top that.Originally posted by Lohman446Theoretical mechanical limitations in the 30s somewhere. Is the reliability of the classic valve any lower than the X valve at a high bps? Basically, I want to know if I can shoot as fast with either valve.Comment

Classic Valve=max 14bps without shootdownOriginally posted by Dharma punkIs the reliability of the classic valve any lower than the X valve at a high bps? Basically, I want to know if I can shoot as fast with either valve.
X valve=26+bps without shootdown
Classic Valve=3lb trigger pull (guessing here)
X valve w/ULT=15oz trigger pull (guessing again)
IMO the Classic valve is more consistent at slower rates of fire, and the X valve is better at higher rates of fire after the valve "warms up".....Comment

I can hit 11bps maybe 12 if lucky. No bounce at all just an ULT. 1 pull = 1 shot, true semi.
