Hopper is just a home brewed agitator loader that was cut down in some manner... Gun is just a custom , looks like something that could of come from Danny Love of Badboyztoys or Brad Nestle... most likely Danny as that time he played with aftershock , and they always have had a relation with dye....

Thats the best I can do the late 90's were a hot bed for custom cockers , and one offs so thats all I can help with

There were some custom cockers where the ram and 3way were mounted on the side of the gun.

As far as the hopper, I cant see it clearly, but it kinda looks like the original vl2000. They basically took the old style vl200 and put the agitator on the outside of it.

edit** yes, that is the original vl2000. The front cap is missing. It also looks like there is a timer mounted on the motor.

          cockers

Didnt PaintballMAXX or something like that do the reverse front block conversions to cockers?

Never understood what the purpose of all that mess was.

(sorry for the bad quality, it was with my phone)

might it be some sort of prototype elecrto, like a shocker/some sort of WGP project?

the hopper looks like some sort of ghetto rigged electro.....
and its defenitly a dye barrel ad, although look how freakin curved that barrel looks!

Thats a dye barrel for sure, I have one just like that.

As for the gun, I found this teardown pic of a cocker. the body sure does look like one.

Check out that magish grip, thats old skool wgp.

It is a prototype cocker that Jeff Orr came up with. It has the ram in the body similar to how powerlyte made some in the early 2000's. The 3 way is in the trigger frame, (blazer style) or its on the other side similar to the sovreign directly in front of the grip frame. It is not an eletro prototype. The wire is for a intelli feed type set-up. You can see there are no eyes on the hopper. The hopper is a Early VL200 with twist off caps, that has had the front cap removed and hole covered, and a motorized "Kit" added, with a timer. This setup had to be from 94-96.

Shane-O-Mac: That seems about right. I started playing paintball back in 1999 and even back then it seemed like that stuff in the ad was Old school

The hopper looks like an OLD VL200 Shredder or possibly a first gen Vl2000. As for the marker, will there's enough guessing going on there.

I'm surprised no one has else has mentioned that it actually looks like a mini-cocker because the reg is right below the front block...

                            Hopper

The hopper is the early vl2000/200. If you look closely, you can see the where the dye ad is covering the back twist off cap that sticks up off the back of the loader. front of the loader there is no cap at all, or possibly a flat flipper top (pre 94' maybe?). I cant tell. After those origional mods, they made the hoppers w/ twist offs on both ends, but, put the raised twist off cap on the "front" of the hopper and a new style flip top on the "back" of the hopper. I believe those were the first 2000's.

I'll bet the farm that the wire is running an old "intelli" mod for the hopper - I had almost the exact same setup.

This hopper (not the ad or the gun)..... I'd say 1993.

I walked next door to Dave Bell's office, and asked him what that loader was called. He said it's an early production VL2000 with a timer of some sorts stuck on the back of it. It's an early production electronic loader, not a prototype or anything.

As for the gun, it looks like it may have been made with an Evolution style 'P' Block (the block looks blurred like it is in mid cycle), but it's not a standard Evolution.

the fact that it's a dye ad is probably because back then dye was just primarily coming out with their barrels.
