    Anyone use remotes anymore?

First off, Im a rec baller by nature. I used to use a remote with my old CO2 system years back.
Since Ive made the switch to HPA Ive only used screw ins and currently a AGD Flatline air system. I'm kind of tired of lugging the extra weight of the tank around. It really makes the benefits of a ULE'ed mag un-noticable. Im no lightweight...I can carry it, but why bother if I can relocate it to my back? I rarely see remote systems nowadays. I would be interested in hearing your pros and cons to running remote HPA before I make up my mind on whether to try to get it setup. Also, what companys do you think make the best tanks and regulators?

    Thanks!

i found the line gets snagged on stuff alot, and I prefer to carry the weight than have it strapped on my back, especially when running and crawling.

If you are looking for one, I've got a SS braided remote that I used to use when I shot CO2 and a spyder - looks pretty much like the one below, but made by ACI. Let me know if you decide you want one.

On-gun air is nice for a tighter setup. I find I can usually put the tank somewhere I don't notice it, and having a tank and pods on my back is a bit too much for me. The remote line isn't so much in my way as it just annoys the crap out of me - I'll deal with a tank on my marker, thanks.

Besides, I use the tank like a stock when I need a stable firing stance. Not having it would suck. I could always add a stock, but why bother with a stock, line to my tank, and a tank on my back when I can just put a tank on the marker?

I prefer a remote on my micromag to keep it handheld, but hava a 90ci 3ksi flatline on my pnuemag. The tank is great for shouldering, but nothing ULE's a marker like ditching the tank. My harness holds a tank in the middle and 2 pods, not bulky atall.

For the record...the flatline reg blows. It cant keep up with the pnuemag or hyperframed micromag, It fires like 3 shot/s a sec before my x-valve begins to not recharge. The output drops 200-250psi and doen't come back up fast enough for rapid fire. I've oiled, rebuilt, then sent it in to AGD and it still fires slow. It only begins to recharge faster as my tank gets empty and the interior pressure approaches the output pressure. Don't gt me wrong, I really love the look/feel/durability and will regret putting my 6yr old nitroduck preset back on the bottle. I need advice, what should I do?

PS: please don't say anything about a reg seat, It's been replaaaced twice.

Im a almost purely Scenario/rec player and no one on my team plays with air on gun.

this is what most of us have
1 standard remote hose-stainless or coiled tubing (but if your gonna run ultra high pressure (3000+) you should use stainless

2 quick disconnects -one for the valve connection and one for the tank connection (dont use screw in tanks if you have an RTpro or Xvalve as the higher the pressure the higher the trigger reactivity and an adjustable tank can go moderately high stock)

1 High pressure Slide check- http://iisports.com/product.asp?dept...&pf_id=XP5042A

2 swivel elbows - so you dont kink the line on your back or your gun.

you assemble all the pieces and you should have a remote capable of 1200psi with no problems

on the 1200psi subject i would suggest a flatline...they are MADE for AGD markers and they really are wonderful

if you need help finding parts or assembling just PM me.

(this allows you to carry A LOT of are so you dont have to fill as much)

Dont forget the Plumbers (teflon?) tape.

no, but, i have a remote laying around, and this thread just inspired me to go play some woodsball.

                  - oh, and as a sidenote, my team has our absolute worst performance in 2 seasons and got knocked out of an event in the prelims, so, afterwars, a teammate and myself went and played some rec ball and some woodsball (i used a Tac one) and, i absolutley LOVED shooting the tac one, and thoroghly enjoyed myself playing rec ball where there was no pressure and you could just try any crazy thing you wanted.

heres an example of a team taking "any crazy thing you wanted to the most extreme edge"

Thats my team at our last Game.

The enemy general thought we couldnt tag his command tent with a lightsaber (it was a star wars scenario)

                    we showed him

but almost every game you will see all of us in our kick *** kilts...

if that isnt nuts, i dont know what is.

I have a coiled remote and a 20oz CO2 tank in case of emergency to run a Minimag valved backup, but that's strictly worst case scenario or playing outlaw in the backyard. My typical setups which all are HPA are on-gun.

I'm going to have a remote setup for playing big games and scenario games. I would rather lug my tank on my back than on my gun. I find that a sling is really nice to have.

Why aren't more remotes seen on paintball fields? It isn't fashionable and no one in the NPPL or PSP uses one. We are all a bunch of trendy fools, aren't we?

No one would have been caught dead 5 years ago with a gun that didn't have a drop forward cradle.

I like my remote like I made it with the parts my self and I run the hose though my shirt and out my sleeve so I dont get snagged. Its alot cheaper to make the whole thing mine with a slidecheck cost only $24 candaian

I'm saddened by this comment. All I can say is if I reffed your local field You would ether stop wearing your remote or leave. That is a poor life decision.

have you ever seen a remote or macro burst.
