ok then with this comparison 1 shot from a paintball marker = 1 shot from a M-16that, 200 round hopper plus at least three 150 round pods = 21 thirty round clips, and you cant shoot 200 rounds with a M16 with out stoping.

I've only been to one scenario, but the air supply situation at that one was poor, at best. All the mag users were definately having issues with air, whereas my AKA gun was just chugging along, due to its efficiency and ability to shoot deep into the bottle. I can't really see why an AGD scenario marker is a good idea, other than for looks.Comment

Agreed, and the A5 has it all over the Tac1 with respect to aftermarket add-ons, parts, mods too.Comment

I have to say I agree 100% with that statement. I cried a lot that event....Originally posted by SteelratI've only been to one scenario, but the air supply situation at that one was poor, at best. The last Red vs Blue game I did at Fox4 - MA had 4500 fill stations. On that day I was able to carry 1400 rounds for my E Tac on me. Using a 92/4500 I never ran out of air before my paint ran out. Usually I can get at least 4000 psi at your normal scenarios. I admit, thats a lot of paint to carry, but I was able to do it.Originally posted by Konigballer"I can't really see why an AGD scenario marker is a good idea, other than for looks"

The E Tac is by far my favorite scenario gun for my set up. If compared to the A5 -- I'd go with the Mag. The mag actually has a slight advantage over the A5 as far as air usage in my experiences with the two. The Mag also is shot for shot more consistant than the A5 by far.
On the subject of optics on markers -- I have to agree, magnified scopes don't work. But red dots do. If you try to conserve paint, they are a good way to use less for the same "kill" as opposed to sighting down the barrel in many cases. And in low light or night games, they absolutely give you the advantage by far. Providing you know what your doing (setting zero).

The one I went to was giving out 2000 psi or so. It was a disaster. And with a more efficient marker, you'd be able to use a 45/45 to shoot 1400 rounds, OR just carry a lot more rounds with your 92/4500.Originally posted by HOMELANDEFENDERThe last Red vs Blue game I did at Fox4 - MA had 4500 fill stations. The advantage of the A5 is that it can use CO2.Comment

2000 IS a disaster ! I also agree -- advantage A5 with CO2. Thats also why I always bring along my Pro/Carbine and a 20 oz as well.Originally posted by SteelratThe one I went to was giving out 2000 psi or so. It was a disaster. You know, I'd rather not be associated with pictures like that. I have a hard enough time convincing people that playing paintball is not geeky. Lets just pretend that picture was never posted.Originally posted by p8ntball72

If by "targets" you mean "giant flaming balls of gay energy" then yes, they are great "targets."
Now that I think of it, however, I'm reminded of an incident I witnessed at my scenario game. It was in an abandoned military housing complex. We and the other team were engaging in some stupid longballing accross a street when a "tank" rolled up the street. Now, by "tank" I mean a set of wooden boards with mesh on top, and a group of guys inside propelling it by shuffling their feet, a'la Fred Flinstone. Now, as this mighty war machine shuffled up the street, we let out a cheer at hopes of ending the stalemate. We were watching the enemy's paintball rounds impacting harmlessly on the impervious combination of wire and particle board when suddenly an enemy jumps into the road and launches a powerful anti-tank weapon (read: nerf ball) at our panzer. It his, the enemy cheers, and we groan. The men inside spill out, get shot, and we are back to our status quo.
What's the point of this? At the time it seemed really cool. Looking back, it seems really geeky. I guess its all a matter of perspective.Last edited by Steelrat; 04-29-2006, 09:03 PM.Comment

Did you finally make that? I know we had talked about it, but couldn't find the right tank picture.Comment
