My team mate uses an FS8 & I'm using a LPM at the moment. His FS is great but It does need a HPR I have seen it creep +25fps during the lunch break after playing with it all morning. He has shot about 2-1/2 cases thru it & I still see him having +/-10,15 fps. My LPM has an average of +/-5 with less than 2 cases thru it. at times I regret selling the FS that I had but the LPM has been perfect for me.

In my experiances, the pre fs7 freestyles arent that great, however I own a fs7 and am ordering an fs8 and I love both. Yes, changing the regs would be a good idea if you have the cash for it, but not nessisary. I personally didnt like the 05 borgs, i didnt like the feel (which is me, you really should one one yourself and see if you like it before you buy) as well as some other small issues but 06's are sweet.embargo backwards = o grab me

Yes they got hacked, they apparently made the wrong person mad from not shipping out items. I for one am still not happy with them, I waited 3 weeks to receive an item I paid extra for 2 day shipping before I filed with paypal and got my money back. I am not sure what happened, but there was quiet a few people in the bushmaster forums on pbn that seem to of gone threw the same thing here recentlyOriginally posted by jenarelJAMWhy does it say "hacked by ____"? Is that normal?
Edit: guess they got hacked?Comment

Seems to be hit or miss whether you get a working hpr right out of the box with an ICD gun.
In my experience both my 05 Freestyle and Promaster needed HPR rebuilds right out of the box. I'd have a spare reg lying around just in case you are one of the unlucky ones.
Other than the hpr annoyance, I really liked both guns.Last edited by lather; 05-18-2006, 05:32 PM."They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." --Benjamin Franklin

Its been said he hacked himself... but meh, who knows.
Anyway, go try one. Quit asking online, itll help to an extent but try one first!
I love my v7, allthough the solenoid did give out, its awesome. Faster than itll ever need to be, next to zero kick. Its amazing, just go shoot one.

Personally, I've owned a Gen 2 (non HE bolt), V7 (still own it) and a V8 (still own it). Definately like the V8 the best. It has lower operating pressure than previously (helps with the solenoid I believe), no tiny o-ring and an all around better bolt system as well as better efficiency. I used to have an 04 Cyborg and traded it for the Gen2 Freestyle and couldn't be happier. If the stock HPR on the Freestyle works, there's not a *huge* reason to change, though you will obviously get a bit better consistency from it. Freestyle V8's can also be had for a very good price (a lot cheaper than you'd think). i shot one of the first to be produced, at a demo thing at an event before they were actually released, and that thing shot amazing, and was nice an light. However, since then, the team that was demo'ing them (they are an icd team and all shoot freestyles) had been having alot of gun troubles and i seem them having markers go down and lots of blowing up paint/chopping, so, i dunno how i feel about the FS8 untill it is field tested a bit more.Comment
