Do I need a new marker?

if you decide to go electro, well, I just bought a Angel 05 Speed. The thing is awsome, cept it broke, and now I have to drop 100 for a new solenoid I can fix anything on my mag, and parts are relatively cheap. If your just playing rec, stick with the mag. just go

Gotta ask what was your mental state when you were playing??? Were you bringing your A game (I mean like its finals in a tourney A game)? That's the real question here. I see to many people using the excuse of needing a new gun because they had a couple bad days or are getting lazy. Gut check... Then go bring your best game. No fear or self doubt allowed.

it is definatly an intimidation factor, your much more likely to be stupid and not think clearly if you hear 15 balls coming at you, you have to get used to it those days will come when you just suck, but I have my best days when all my equipment works, not nessisarily when Ive got all the kills (althought if bolth happen its a great day)

classic example: my friend kept on complaining that everyone shoots to fast (our group shoots angels and ions) he was playing with his tippy 98. So he just got a brand new Ion. We played last week sat. with a bunch of new players. My Angel was down so I was playing with my Mag and guess what, even with his ion he still sucked all day long. I got out once all day (played about 10 games) and had about 14 kills. He got out everygame and got 1 kill, even with all the noobs on the field. The funny part is he was talking all week about how he was going to own everyone with the new Ion, telling the new players that they werent gonna stand a chance. He got his --- handed to him by just about evryone on the field.

your just getting too relaxed and careless on the field. try useing a pump for a day or something and it will really incourage you to try a little bit harder. then when you switch back the instincts are natural.

Bad luck. Nothing to prompt selling the mag over. I always look on how to make it better instead of looking for something new. Wait for an AO day near you. I've been to a few places meeting up with fellow Aoers. Amazing are the custom mags. You just need to be AOtivated.

You guys are probably right. I think is was just two outings in a row that went bad.

Like I said, after thinking about it and askingmyself what I really did wrong...it was just not using cover properly. It was that simple. I don't know if I was getting cocky or getting lazy.

In the second outing...I think it was a two-fold problem. First, the person who got me out both times pretty much built the field we were playing on...I think his familiarity with the field probably helped him more than his reactive trigger. And the second problem was again...not using cover properly. It doesn't matter how much paint they send at me if I'm behind something solid...but instead...in both cases I was out in the open.

As to only getting out twice...we played at an outback field and they only played 4 games (in 5 hours!). Needless to say, that didn't help my irritability...driving 64 miles one way and spending more time sitting in the parking lot/field than actually playing...then getting shot out (first) in two games...so I got to sit in the parking lot even longer between games.

I sure hope things go better at the Monster Game.

You dont need a reason to get a new marker.
But an Ion ?

Get an Emag and get the Xmod software.
I used mine with the new software today for the first time.

There is nothing more that I like than to go to a field, see all those people who have spent twice as much as me on a gun, and methodically pick them off with one of my mags. I don't play the game based on how many bps I can shoot, I would like to think that I eliminate others by the tactics/style I use. Sometimes I win, sometimes I get lit up. But I never blame it on my gun. They just outplayed me.

Well, that's usually my philosophy as well. I have a collection of guns...I like them...they are not the fastest...but they will do. I usually do very well...I don't get alot of kills...but I have "good games" other ways...either by survival or by dictting what the opposition can do by holding down a certain side of the field or by moving behind them and causing them to divert their forces. It just really irritated me that I had two straight outings where I would say I played below average or bad.

While I agree that speed doesn't equate skill, a good player with a fast marker vs a good player with a slower marker...the percentages go in favour of the faster marker.

i find my self always going back to my mech mag from my emag....then even sometimes going to a classic mag....i like to try to increase my skill level...
soon i will be playing pump////even on the xball field
