If they want to ramp, fine but cap it and split it up.

      17 bps semi or 10 bps ramp...Hrm....

Our feild has a fairly strict limit on ramping and that is that it's set so low it's almost useless. Who can't get 10bps walking an electronic trigger? If they feel lazy and just want a continuous stream while running, etc... Otherwise it's useless.

Keeps the newbies happy by not being constantly bunkered by 20000balls and keeps the kids, who want to show off how fast their gun can be, absolutely miserable.

I have a hyperframe on my micromag, I keep on 9 bps ramping all the time.... Personally I think 12 bps or less should be the standard for rec games but thats just my opinion.

And I still maintain that 3 BPS is just as good in the wood.

Some people don't get it. If the field I'm play at allows ramping then that's cool. Makes run throughs a lot easier for me. If not, then I'll still be putting out as many balls as I can when needed.

Either way I'm going to be shooting 15 BPS at you.

Markers have continuely been made faster since the begining of the game. Generally I don't find rec ball entertaining. It just got too slow. You say there is alot of players with ramping markers out there playing rec? Maybe I've mistaken? Rec could be fun once again.

Yes I have, There are 3 Major Providers that carry "paintball specific" policies.
                Also
There are many Insurance companies that "blanket" paintball but I would not consider them as Specifically designed around paintball related claims.

An easy check for you would be to ask your field owner who he is covered by.
If its the Standard APL, NSERA, or Cossio Policy, It's "simi-auto" "one pull one shot" ONLY.

If you can find documented proof otherwise please provide a link

I posted the Requirements from the NSERA policy above here is the link to the APL.

Ramping? Isn't that just another way of saying "burst fire"?

I always fouind that the 2-3 bps I could get thru regular semi, with a single trigger, still allowed me to throe enough paint to keep the opponents ducking.

I was a walk on back then and always will be. SO the whole ramping thing seems a bit silly. If they want to spray 15 shots at me, all to have them break on the bushes and trees before I take two or three aimed shots that make it threough the bushes, great.

                        JD
Actually, they duck back with the single shot from my phantom too. ROF does not equal good play, whether ramping or not. 20 BPS bouncing off my bunker on the left when I nail you out of the right side with my pump doesn't really help you.

It does when your like me

My aim sucks. I send 15BPS towards the center of the bunker

They end up one both sides, the top, several feet in front of, etc.

yeah, im surprised no ones pulled an "i work for..." type of thing

in addition, why are people saying "simi"?! did eyeryone forget how to spell the word "SEMI"?

                            the only thing i got for simi in a search was an acronym finder, and according to this;

SIMI;Meaning;Search for Intelligent Monkeys on the Internet

persoanlly i dont care if people use ramping as long as its used responsibly and everyone has a fair chance (no rentals thrown in there unless they know what ramping is and are ok with it). if someones using it to move or whatever, thats fine, but getting bunkered by 15bps isnt my idea of fun...

ramping= you suck and have no skill and so you need your gun to cheat for you.

This has to be one of the most ridiculous oft repeated statements made as of late. Trust me, a lot of the people who ramp have a lot of skill. Ramping (and shooting in general) will not overcome someone with a remarkable skill advantage on you.
