    tippmanns new markers.

Tippmann is releasing a new line of speedball markers for the enrty level players. The Triumph XL features an 8.5" aluminum barrel and will be sold in a Power Pack, complete with an anti-fog goggle, nine-ounce aluminum tank and 200 round hopper. The Triumph XT features a built-in expansion chamber, an 11" aluminum barrel and a rubberized front grip for added control. Finally, there's the Triumph eXT, which takes the Triumph XT and incorporates an electronic trigger with four different firing modes. Both the XT and eXT include a 200 round hopper and are available individually or as a Power Pack.

I think it's great, and hope it performs well.

you forgot an "ugly" option on the poll.... but its a tippy so it should be a super solid reliable marker

I want to see them shoot paint before making my mind BUT they do look like some sort of power tool...

To me it's like a custom98 or A-5 with new "shells".

Thats what they remind me of..look like they're coated in the same rubbery material. Doesnt k2 own tippman,BE,VL,WGP...i know the last three they do but not sure about tippman.

If thats the case..i dont think the quality will anthything like what you're used to seeing from tippman..more along the lines of BE...i wonder what Mr.Tippman himself thinks.

Yep, they look funny but if the price is right and they perform well...I'd use one as back up.
Hell, I still think the 98 is ugly but I'd use that gun any day because it has proven itself.

Looks to me like they took the 98's internals and made a new plastic shell for them. Just look at the hammer, position of the velocity and the oversized hand guard thing which is most likely to house the hose. Hopefully it can withhold tippmanns good reputation and not be junk. Only time can tell.

My home field is getting rid of their m-98 rentals in favor of BT, beacuse they say that tippmann products are losing quality. as for these markers i think they have shot them selves in the foot as it looks like there are very little options for moving the bottle and where to add an additional reg. I would have to hold one to see if they meet up with quality tippmann is know for or not.

The blue one looks like my Mr Clean car wash thing.

If the quality is there tho I suppose who cares what they look like?

There is some confirmation that the internals are M98. Basically a disposable, center fed M98. I'd take one!

Those of you guessing that the internals are basically the same as 98s are right, according to this article.

for $150 it will not be competition for the ION. The ION shoots faster, has more upgrades, has a LARGE fan following, looks 27.5 times better, and isn't made by a "woodsball company"

The tiumph will see some good sales as it will sell to SP haters and long time tippmann fans. And another thing going for it is it's backed by the tippmann name, but that means very little when the average beginner paintballer either upgrades in 5 months or quits. but won't be anything near to waht the ION was/is/will be. Now if the eXT was $99, then you might start converting some people...But @ $150 a stock ION is pretty attainable. Go onto PBN and look at the number of BST threads "LNIB ION shot twice in back yard"

Be honest...If you were a kid, would you spring an extra 10-15 bucks for the ION? I would.

Edit: This is what happens when companies turn into corporations. Soon They'll have lawyers
