Alright, well, I'm gonna sell my outdated emag soon and I'll have quite a bit of money due to that and various other sources. And now.. I'm stuck between a nice Paradigm Pro from Rogue which I will later have converted into a pneumag, or a nice new vision shocker. Any help? I want honest opinions, and it helps if you've at least fired both guns or have some knowledge of both. I'm currenty leaning towards the mag, though.
Hmm.. pneumag or shocker?

Both. If you are going to play tournaments that allow ramping the Shocker is a better choice. It just is, of course now I'm going to be told how much of an idiot I am. I'm still right

go with option 3.
despite the fact that i may or may not have convinced a certain teammate of a certain AO member that i own a shocker
i would not recommend buying one, i think there are better options out there.
however, if you are a speeball player... well, honestly a pneumag wont cut it. especially for tournaments, honestly you should go with an electro.
if you play mostly woods, though, go with the mag, pneumag or no.

Well, the prob is, I'm not a tourney guy or anything. I play rec ball, walk on speedball, private games, and some big games. I prefer electronic guns over mechanical guns by far, but the pneumag really caught my eye.
Plus I've heard that Shockers aren't built as well as they could be and Smart Parts' customer service sucks. =/

Lol yea, good point. I just want at least a fairly honest answer, not "ZOMG AUTOMAHG."Originally posted by punkncatAsk here and ask on a SP forum. You will see the differing honest opinions.

Hi! I have the Shocker with Vision and the Dynasty board and high efficiency bolt. Very fast and small. I recently bought a pneumag from this forum. Its fast too. The cool thing about the pneumag is not too many people have them. I like the look of the pneumag because the LPR is mounted external on the marker and it has a rather unique look to it. There are lots of Shockers out there. For a mechanical marker, folks are amazed at how fast it shoots. I also have the Paradigm Pro and it is nice too. I personally prefer the mags. That's my two cents.Originally posted by Dartshot123Alright, well, I'm gonna sell my outdated emag soon and I'll have quite a bit of money due to that and various other sources. And now.. i love mags, and shockers. but this day in time, id get a shocker over a mag.
then again, ive been all over with mags, and more or less shockers. i have been magged-out, but not shockered-out.
fast light and compadible with alot of things with many upgrades and settings. makes the game more of a thinking game with strategy than trying to shoot really fast, because with the ramping it does fine. (however, i shoot faster in semi... self-modded trigger, lotta bounce... hard to explain...)
but yeah. get a shocker. and if you decide you dont like it, you can always get a mag for it."Ah yes, I have one of the 32*rebels that I always take to big scenario games. It keeps the truck from rolling if I have to park on a hill." - automikey

well, why a shocker? i hate SP's ways and marker design, but if its what you had your mind set on, go ahead, however i recomend something thats not a shocker, like a viking, more reliable, better looking, cheaper in some cases, or an Xmodded emag, shocker modes, mag dependability, although u may need to take off the M/E switch to mkae it legal

I chose the shocker for a possibility because it's single tubed design, which I like, and it's well priced. I love vikings actually (I shot one once) but they're too expensive. I actually could just hold onto my emag and mod it to be more current (it would need the ULE Body, ULEd out lowers and rail, and an x-vavle) but honestly it's kinda heavy for my tastes.

I owned a Shocker for awhile and was really happy with it. If you are buying new, make sure to look at everything else very closely that is in the same price range. You don't want to be stuck with something you will hate. If you will buy used, there are way better deals for the money than most used Shockers.

oh? a fairly nice viking would only run you $400. maybe $600-700 if its a DC viking with a nice ano.Originally posted by Dartshot123I love vikings actually (I shot one once) but they're too expensive.
also look into cyborgs, theyre great for the price. freestyles are good too, although everyone seems to dislike them... which can be good, considering how cheap you can find an 04 or 05 for. and they are similar to mags in design, too. if you want another ICD gun, a promaster is a great choice also. 2 of my friends have them and both love them.

Wow, I've honestly never seen a Viking go for that cheap.
Guess i should look harder haha.
'Borgs and Freestyles never caught my attention, nor Promasters. Most of that stuff is out of my range anyway; I've only got about 600 total to spend.
