    X-mag Vs E-mag, inform me!

I'm not really sure if this topic should be here or in the techforum.

Anyways, my concern is about X-mag and E-mag.

    1. What's the diffrence between them, in all aspects (tech, playing with, price etc).

    2. Is it possible to build an own?

    3. Which one should I get?

    4. Does anyone of them have a board with firemode like psp etc so I can play series like Millenium? Or does it exist an aftermarket-board that fits with the right firemodes?

Post lots a pics an I'll be happy.

    Thx guys!

(If you hate my bad English, my excuse is that I'm Swedish.)

    link to thread

emags and xmags are basically the same, save for the diff bodies

xmags have the ACE anti chop eye capability and interchaeble breeches
    and itregrated body/rail design

xmod is a new software, seen here

    with amazing modes, inlcuding millenium

      OHHH! I LOVE YOU MAN!

So emags only have lvl10 while xmag have both lvl10 and ACE?
Basically, I could get an emag and then put in the xmod? and then less or more have an xmag?
What's the difference in price then?

An Emag with Xmod will have more firing modes...

An Xmag with Xmod will have the same firing modes...

The big differnce is the ACE and body. The Xmag body has the rail "built it" so it is one peice, unlike the Emag, where the body and rail are seperate. Not really a disadvantge, just a differnce.

Most of the time, and Xmag will cost more than an Emag, as the Xmags are more rare...

        Hope this helps!

Mike: That helped me alot, believe it or not.

How is the markers built? Is it like a spyder with an e-grip, only the grip that's electric or is it more like any other electric marker with a microswitch to a solenoid in the body?

As requested before, an explode or photos of the internals.

Guess what? AGD's website still has tons of information on it! Yes, you can even look at diagrams and stuff! Here is the link.

            More info @ xmagworld.com and Z-man's site.

personally i think (because of all the threads i see on the subject) that a topic discussing xmag vs. emag should be a sticky...

                what do y'all think...

                    emags are usually $400 - $600
                    xmags $700-$1000

I have one of each, basically a properly tuned lvl x makes the eyes redundant, and doesn't really have much use IMO. The breeches are nice, but if you get an emag you can just buy ULE bodies and switch them around and still come out cheaper.

oh and some emags don't have the lvl X make sure you buy one that does.

Hey... guess what else... If you do some crafty searching you can still get to AGD's europe site. Or you can click this link.

Edit: Wow! Check this out! X-Mag.

The AGD-Europe website hasn't been updated since the last decade. That's why I haven't even thought of checking there, I discovered this when I started to do the AGD-style a couple of years ago.

phizz: thanks, now I have a little clue about how much money I must save to get one.
