AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
just to let you know boo yah went out of business, i just got one of there frames new i ordered it off this guy, but i wanted a mako storm, which is the replacement for the boo yah basically. The boo yah frames are still coverd in a mako warranty cuz i called and asked. So its up 2 u. I have heard better things about the hyperframes but i don't know what is really the difference between the two.

ok as i understand it boo yah and mako sort of teamed up to make the frames. I think boo yah actually made the boo yah elcd ones though and somehow mako was involed, i think mako was the distributor. Then boo yah went out of business and mako took over making the elcd grips, which they call the mako storm. Basically its the same as the boo yah elcd ,which i have, but with different cosmetics.

As I understand it, BooYah got Mako to manufacture it for them, but then Booyah went out of business, so Mako started marketing them direct. I think that the Booyah/Mako was based on an early beta design of the Hyperframe, and one of the guys left centerflag to make the booyah.
The Booyah/mako design has full auto mode, which the Hyperframe does not. The hyper is limited to 10bps on the assisted modes and 13 bps on semi-mode. Hypermode allows the gun to shoot 5 times when you pull the trigger 3 times.
I have never shot a booyah/mako, but I really like the hyperframe. You definitely want an ReTro Valve for this puppy. My minimag tried to keep up, but eventually would sputter and chop paint. It is not quite as impressive as the halo videos, but you can stand at the range and empty a hopper of paint pretty quick! I never took it out of semi mode when I played. It was great knowing that you were never gonna short stroke it. I have been considering sending it to Centerflag with $120 and letting them put it on my rt pro, which requires some special milling.
Paintchucker has the right version of the story !! The Boo-Yaah/Mako is trash, I had 3 of them, they DO NOT work with a Retro Valve, only the Hyperframe will work with the R/T & the Retro valve.
I have a Hyperframe and it just rocks. I just got a HALO and the combination is awsome. Centerflag's customer service is great. Go with a Hyperframe...you won't be disappointed.
any?? PM me.
The gun is 1/8" of a game that is a FOOT long!

warlord, and doobie are correct, the hyperframe is the quality version of the two. Centerflag is a proven company and does plenty more than just hyperfames. boo-ya, is just bad news. If you could look back through ao's history and see all the people that have had problems, there are plenty of horror stories of they boo-ya. The only bad thing people have ever said about the hyperframe is that it can chew up the edge of your bolt. But with some minor adjustments (power tube spacer) you can fix that problem.
Ultimatly it is your choice, but telling you from experiance i have shot both and own that hyperframe. I have never had a problem with it and love it.
Good luck with your choice.
