Been Thinking going Remote. Need opinions

Hey guys I have always played with the tank to gun on both C02 and Air. But I can't stop wondering of those that use remote. At first I though the line would cause uncomfort but I see many remote guys playing just fine. Eliminating something big like a tank on the gun seems like it would add maneuverability. Can someone give me their input on remote usage?

pros: no tank on your gun

cons: you'll need a stock or something to balance out your gun. the remote line gets in the way(wrapped around bushes, etc), and the tank tends to get in the way too, even on your back, more weight bouncing around when your running, etc

If you're willing to wait I can let you use my Broadsword vest and my remote line. I for one will only go remote if I have to go for a long day wearing my gear. In other words, unless its a scenario you won't find me using the remote coil.

i use one and have no problem with it except on my mag the line gets in the way of the trigger because it hands down from the valve but other then that it works great on the a-5 and assault 80

I've run a remote and really like it.
I don't use a stock. I say the lighter the better.
With the right pack you don't get much bouncing around.
          I say get one.

you guys playing speedball or woodsball?

i don't think they're that bad, they just dont seem necessary. maybe if you have a steel tank, but a carbon fiber is so light anyways.

I also used a 45* to the quick disconnect nipple.
It helped angle the hose down.

I've used a remote also. There are ways to run the line so that it doesnt get tangled up with anything. Esp. if you wear a vest. One guy I know runs his line up over his sholder, never gets in the way of anything, and he can fire from either hand this way. Works like a charm.
WOW, sigs. Havent seen these in a while here on AO.

I run remote and have never had tangle problems. I did have a stock on my a5 but I don't have on on my etach yet. I slide check solves the disconnect problem and I wouldn't tun remote without one.

Get a good remote too. I bought a cheap one to start and had nothing but trouble. Also, when you air it up on the tank - only turn the knob till it pressureizes and then another turn or turn and a half. Too much and the valve pin blocks the airway.

I'm running a remote through a hydration pack running the line over my shoulder and haven't had any problems with mobility, snagging or anything else that normally would be associated with a remote. About the only complaint I have is I don't have a slide-check/proconnect rig so I have to charge the system on gun before I can put the pack on.

Coiled remote over the shoulder is great

Added advantage, even with my 1m rig I can let it dangle from the remote and not have to worry about the barrel touching the ground.

Oh yea, been there done that. It was a Tippmann though, so no problem. I wouldn't want to drop anything else on the floor like that lol.

I've gotten in the habit of:

If I'm shot out, on the way back to the safe area - Barrel sock on, safety on, slide check off, disconnect from gun.

Or same thing with the horn sounds.

So when I set my gun down I can walk away from it.
