body/barrel idea (what do ya think)

just wondering what you all would think of a marker with the barrel as part of the body. one big piece. now i know this wouldnt work with high end markers because of how people like to use kits and get ball to bore matchups but for lower end markers i think something like this would be cheaper to produce

And they used to produce them that way. Just think though, for the low low end guns, like spyders, people still upgrade the barrels. I would never buy a gun that I couldn't swap out the barrel.
you know you play this game too much when the neighbors stop fixing their broken windows...

The very early Proteam Products MicroMags were produced as such. Barrel and body as one piece and not separable.

yeah but if it was a half decent barrel to begun with, for a low end recballer i think it would make sence

It would make perfect sense, except, they dont make consistant paintball sizes. This batch would shoot great, the next batch would be blue soup out the barrel.
WOW, sigs. Havent seen these in a while here on AO.

A fixed barrel is more important then you think

                      Fixed barrel?

                      Yeah, we got that.

Long distance shooting with this is like hitting the broad side of a barn, but it produces a nice loud bang tho.

What if the the barrel was a crown point type barrel that doesn't need bores? I think that would make sense. Feel free to prove me wrong.

Whether the product is a good idea is moot. You are competing against YEARS of misinformation. I still hear people state as fact myths and hype about barrels. If you look at what people list as first upgrades for virtually any marker, you'll see "barrel" as either #1 or 2. There are still people who believe a longer barrel results in increased range, all paint shoots perfectly through a .694 bore, stock barrels suck, etc. If 'ballers truly used the best, we'd probably all be shooting brass barrels.

Your idea is perfectly sound, but you're going up against ignorance. Never an easy battle. You'd be best off putting more money into marketing and advertising than manufacturing. Fight fire with fire, right?
