I hope that Apple takes a big chunk of market back from Microsoft. The more competitors in the marketplace, the better it is for consumers. However, even if it runs on the same hardware, anyone who has existing programs cannot run them on the operating system. You have to purchase new programs as well as a new operating system. Thats a big expense.

Paintball is full of innovators. As long as there is a market for specialized aftermarket products, there will be small companies willing to develop to fill that niche. Thats the great thing about this sport. Everyone wants to be different, while still being basically the same.

well apple may not quickly take back the OS market but they are coming in the back door with all the products they are selling (ipods iphones etc) which in turn will probably bring people over. and a lot of software now is able to run on either, not the majority but a lot more than 5 years ago

didnt redz try that strategy of coming in the back door since all their soft goods were here and liked didnt they release a gun a while back? i remember hearing stuff about it right about the time i stopped keeping up with the paintball world
