AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
They might be copies but there is no detent.
Just got it today and there is no ball detent.
Got an email in to him now.
are you a paintball flipper? someone who buys stuff to sell it for a little more? specifically automags, and parts? nothing wrong with it, but it's just that I notice you outbid everyone on ebay.
//just wonderin'//
going home must not have seen one or searched a thread on this before..
there has been atleast 3-4 posting of these bodies, some ao er had even planned to buy them all, anno em, drill detents, get em annod etc etc and sell em.

Even if he is he keeps the value of automags up, and we should all be thankful for that. He also has flawless feedback, and will not mis lead people with his description (as most will) If he runs across a great deal, and does not want it he will post it here for the rest of us. Even if he does make a few "flipping" paintball equip. He is good in my book.
Those bodies were designed to not need a detent. They are a small bore so the paintball will not slide through the body.
For those of you not familiar with Francois Louvett, let me explain a little. He's a French "entrepeneur" who has decided paitnball is his money cow. I put entrepeneur in quotes because he doesn't really innovate, he just copies someone else's spiffy idea and makes money off of it by making the cheapest monkey copies he can get away with, selling bunches of them, and running away before his 3rd world country manufacturers present him with the bill or the product recall hits the public view. Some of the companies he's been behind: Toxic Toys (making Tribals, which are very similar to Impulses and Bushmasters), Diamond Labs (making STBBs), 3A (HPA tanks - most of which were recalled - and barrel kits), and Boo-Yah (e-grips for mechanical semis). I wouldn't put it past him to attempt a direct copy of PTP's micromag body.
And no, I'm pretty sure it wasn't this Frenchman who made the Space Mags. Can't remember who it was off hand, but if you look around Doc's Machine and his Guild Forum, I'm sure you'll run across the name.
Anyway, I've ordered one of these bodies myself as I've always liked the Micros, just never the price tag that tends to accompany them when they do show up on the sale boards. Anyone know if they'll take a Classic Valve? What other parts am I going to need (besides a barrel and a grip frame)?
^^ Sounds like a CEO of Smart Parts... but I guess he doesn't qualify because he didn't patent other's ideas and then try to sue them for breaking his patent.
