Take a picture for me. And the maxflow regs are designed to be user removable for flying, etc. Although if you think about it theres nothing preventing you from removing any reg.Comment

i know but unless you have an airsmith where your going, then it might be hard to fix that problem.Originally posted by onedude36Wow. are you serious? all tank regs come off. have an airsmith do it and you will be fine.

I actually just picked up a micro max-flo for this reason (theres flying time in my near future).Originally posted by don migueldangit, only SP tanks have removeable regs? crap, im not going to fly to oklahoma dday. i'll just go to castle conquest, it's closer.
I can't say ONE bad thing about the reg. I've noticed the consistancy of my gun go up from the old crossfire reg that was on the bottle.
It's light, the on/off works smoothly, it's rebuildable, and I can remove the tank for TSA inspections.Comment

how do you remove the tank? is it hard? i coulden't bring myself to buy one, i am an sp hater. after what i have learned about them ruining companies like AKA and AGD, it just pisses me off.Originally posted by neppo1345I actually just picked up a micro max-flo for this reason (theres flying time in my near future).

Yes. SP ruined AGD and AKA.
Why don't you tell us more about SP while you're at it, you seem to have the most factual and correct information out of all of us.
I've never had a problem with any of my SP tanks/regs, and neither has anyone that I know.
You don't know a damn thing about any of their gear, you just blindy (and stupidly) follow the crowd and believe what others tell you to.

I never said not to hate Smart Parts, my point is that you should form your own opinions.Originally posted by paintballfiendSo we shouldn't hate SP?
You shouldn't be like goofus over there, and spew nothing but bologna out of your rear.
If you hate SP, then I hope you have your own experiences with them, or their products. Not because you think that they ruined some company that wasn't doing too well in the first place.
The stuff I've sued from SP? I've liked.
When I met the Gardners, I didn't like them at all.
SP? I could care less. So long as what I use of theirs doesn't give me problems, I don't care.Comment

Oh, and to the original poster?
Your tank wasn't 'stolen'. You didn't obey the rules, and they did what they needed to do.Comment

Taken from
"Compressed gas cylinders are allowed in checked baggage or as a carry-on ONLY if the regulator valve is completely disconnected from the cylinder and the cylinder is no longer sealed (i.e. the cylinder has an open end). The cylinder must have an opening to allow for a visual inspection inside.
Our Security Officers will NOT remove the seal or regulator valve from the cylinder at the checkpoint. If the cylinder is sealed (i.e. the regulator valve is still attached), the cylinder is prohibited and not permitted through the security checkpoint, regardless of the reading on the pressure gauge indicator. Our Security Officers must visibly ensure that the cylinder is completely empty and that there are no prohibited items inside.
Please note: Many of the seals/regulators used in paintball are not designed to be removed from their cylinder by the end user. The seal/regulator should only be removed and reinstalled by a factory trained technician.
Passengers considering air travel with a compressed air or CO2 system would be advised to contact its manufacturer for guidance in locating a qualified technician, or to consider shipping the system to their destination via a parcel service."Comment

Its no harder than removing a screw in system.
Make sure tank is empty, give a good twist so the tank disengages the o-ring that seals it, and it screws right off.
Also, SP didn't 'ruin' any companies. They made a smart business move before anyone else had the chance to.Comment

I don't think it was entirely his fault. When he told them he had a paintball marker, they should have thought to ask if he had a tank with him.Comment
