Good idea. I haven't personally witnessed too much idiotic behavior at Breakaway but I have been dismayed to see people show up WITH THEIR OWN GUNS questioning the need for barrel socks because 'I have a working safety'

I also witnessed on Saturday a walk on group with rentals. One guy doesn't have a barrel sock on, gets yelled at to put it on by about 10 people, including his friend next to him. After putting it on, he shoots a ball into the sock'.

'You /2#$ idiot, that's why you get told to put a barrel sock on!' says his friend. 'Use your @#$@#$ safety!'

2 minutes later, guy yelling about the safety shoots one into his sock and stands around looking sheepish.

Usually the walk ons aren't the ones i have to worry about, it's the private groups. Every private group i orientate, well every group i orientate, i'm going to reference this story (and have been referencing it) and tell them the copy up is in the main building. Like seriously at least once every weekend we have an incident where people lift their goggles on the field with private groups, and while we kick them off the field and make them sit, then kick them out after the second time, it would be better to not have it happen at all.

Yeah, that's crazy.. you'd think after getting shot at once you would know not to lift your goggles.

Easiest way is probably to throw someone out there with a fast shooting electro the first game and let them all see what it's like to having 10+ bps flying at you.. I don't think anyone would lift their goggles after that

I dunno, some people might enjoy it... you never know what is gonna happen on a paintball field..hell, that guy brought his young kid out there last weekend and threw him on campground against people wielding egos.

I dunno how old that kid was but he looked about 9. When Ryan shot him up on the last game he said he was in the fetal position.

Not to get off topic too much but... yeesh. He was the last one in the game on the last match and I rounded a bunker to see him sitting there after already letting off 3 balls.. luckily I was light on the trigger that time.

Hopefully he had fun! I felt kinda bad but he seemed like he had a good time.. it's just kinda shocking to see a kid that young out there but hell, I guess I started in my early teens.. back then it was pumps though.

Yeah most kids have problems with getting shot a lot, but there are a few that are really tough and can take it

It seems that I always see at least one kid a day sitting behind a bunker with his mask above his head. I yell at them, and then they try to shoot at me..... Some way to repay me for saving their eye.

                    his stories always scared me.

                        WoW!!!

I had a similar experience with a set of JT's many moons ago and not too long with a VForce mask. Tho the balls didn't bust through my VForce like they did my JT's. I had ducked my head after seeing a wall of paint coming my way from 3 guys. Stupid me thinking there was only 1person in a bunker I had rushed. I took 6 to the head and 2 of them slipped between my head and mask. One clipped my nose and the other gave me a fat lip, both exploding in my mask. Mask was done for the day.

Edit: Nice shirt BTW. I have head gear with that same pattern.

I'm gonna rewrite the story for people who don't have 30 mins to waste:

I am an idiot and didn't wear goggles while playing p-ball. To prove icould be a bigger idiot, I took the sunglasses off that I was wearing. Lesson learned: things hitting your eye at a high rate of speed can damage your eye. Also, I don't get pity from people that I hope for
