Seriously, it's like shaking a box full of bees and handing it to your buddy.

You are here by allowed to continue to stalk and/or irritate ONLY Don Miguel, and only until you get a documented audible snap out of him. After that, your mission will be complete and you can once again retire to the bat cave until Gotham needs you again.

That shouldn't take too much longer anyway, you've been riding him like a broken down pony for weeks now.

Eh, I'm being nice to him. Check a few of the threads in Pbtalk.
Also: I addressed his impulse question.

My Impy is my primary marker, for Semi-auto play that is. I love it, I picked it up, w/vision eyes, new, for $245 and I haven't looked back. You can get really good deals on the internals for them because they are 100% out of print. Smart Parts does not manufacture them, and many online sites offer the Impy-only upgrades at significant reductions to clear out inventory. It's NOT significantly heavier than any other marker out there, we've weighed it against Ions and Cockers and a DM6. It IS heavier, but it has a much better valve design than the Ion and out of the box is a much better marker. Enjoy!!!

umm, don't speak of that evil company, BTW. and an impulse that low priced is bound to have problems. if it looks good condition to you, buy it! what do you have to lose? 265$?

I'm sure Imp's are nice, but SP customer service sucks.
          Funny story about that...

I lost one of the manifold seals while servicing my noid today. I opoened up my freshly purchased deluxe o-ring kit, and to my shock and dismay there was no manifold seals in there at all I emailed SP and asked what to do, and I was told to contact a dealer or sales associate.

Luckily for me, I had nothing to do, so I spent 35min combing through the pile of my rug on my hands and knees untill I found it Now it shoots like a champ again. But you sir are correct, SP has horrible Customer Service.

            Not really.

Once again, you pontificate from your posterior.

I have seen many BRAND NEW Impulses go with 45/3000 tanks for under $300. Smart Parts was blowing them out to their dealers at an insanely low price, which the dealers are now passing on.

I'd sooner have an Imp for that money than an Ion, that is for sure and for certain.

If it cycles, there's nothing that can go wrong with it that will make that a bad deal.

Power it up and shoot it a few times (with paint is even better) just to be sure, but I wouldn't worry about it too much.

smartparts sews everyone! AKA, AGD, Dye, it's endless! these companies are way better than SP. SP throws shiny markers together out of the cheapest way possibe (wasn't the case w/ old SP). And they threaten and sew other niche companies like AKA so they have no competition. It's sick marketing. that's why SP sucks.

Ha, thinking that has also kepted me from getting an Impulse. That is why I am looking for a Defiant 2 or Promaster, and looking on ebay for a cheap "high-end" gun. However, now I realize that I heard this on PBN and SP haters. So now I won't let my ignorance keep me from buying a relatively good gun for cheap.

                      /Rolls up sleeves

Ok son, now you've gone and done it, you've gotten stupid all over my shirt.

Smart Parts sued (not sewed, Martha) AKA and ICD. ICD settled out of court and continued on, AKA also settled out of court but chose not to license the technology (good bad or indifferent, the law says they have the IP, so that's how it is, deal with it or don't do business).

DYE sued Smart Parts recently over the spool valve technology in the Shocker and Ion HE bolt kits. They settled out of court and struck a deal to share technology so that they could both benefit.

WDP and Smart Parts have butted heads on several occasions, but both have survived and done quite well for themselves.

AGD was NEVER sued or even served a C&D letter. Tom decided that an EMarker was not profitable enough to warrant the trouble, so he just stopped making them (and really stopped working on PB stuff all together).

EVERY maker out there sells shiny cheaply made markers of the month now. Nothing I've seen from DYE, PE, SP, or NPS has really impressed me for a long time. Sure I like the nifty little tricks they use to produce more faster for less money, but the end result is less solid feeling to me than markers of just 5 or 6 years ago. That's just my opinion though.

I don't like the aluminum that Smart Parts used to use, but you know what? It was MORE expensive than 6061. They didn't use it to cheap out, they used it because their process required it at the time. Now their manufacturing capabilities have changed and they are moving to another alloy with the NXT shockers. Hell, I've heard they're die casting the Epiphany bodies from a high Magnesium alloy to keep the weight down.

The fact is, that in business, no company is evil. Everyone is out to maximize profit and minimize risk, regardless of what they tell you.

To do anything less is stupid and irresponsible use of your investor's money.

Now, will you please just STFU and go away? When you post, it's useless at best, and at worst, it's actually counter productive. If you don't know for sure (meaning it's in a book that you can site and take pictures of when asked), just don't post anything at all.

comes with a 68/4500 tank too...I figure tank is valued at $100-$125..so I would consider it a good deal for the imp AND tank.
