Ok so i traded a couple guns last week and they guy got them yesterday, anyway..both parties recieved their rightfull belongings..now one of the guns i traded was a shocker. I knew that it needed a new upper board and he was informed of that as well..so i paid for the board as part of the trade and he was fine with the fact that it was broke, seeing that he is getting the part to fix it.
ok now neither of the guns are mine..they are a teamates that is not to computer savvy so I conduct his trades for him.
The Dm4 i traded along with the shocker, i had worked on many times and day before we shipped it was shooting so good well he got it and supposedly the eyes weren't working, well he got that fixed for free and already sold it to a friend. Now the shocker, the only thing i have done with the shocker is glanced at the noid to see what piece was missing off the board, My teamate was told by the guy he bought the gun from that the only thing needed to fix it was the upper board..so we both accepted that and were going to fix it for a back up,but then traded it.
Now then the other party in the trade now has a $70 bill due to his guntech..which to plug in a frigin board and change a set of eyes is a bit riddiculous..i could do both in 15 minutes or less..anyway he says the noid screws dont fit and he had to buy new ones..anyway..
So he calls me tonight and tells me the situation..I told him i will have to talk to the owner of the guns to see what we can work out.. now i don't want to stick the guy with a bill, but i honsetly didn't know that any of the above would occur, other then the need for a upper board, so do you AO think i should pay the bill? I mean i will atleast compensate him somewhat, but im not too sure about paying the whole thing seeing that i told him what was wrong with the gun to my knowledge..the things he later found are on him.
Some things seem a little off..i trust the guy but, right after he told me he was a smartparts tech he asked me if the shocker had vision..when i shipped the gun the grip frame was not attached and you could clearly see the ribbon for the eye protruding from the body...i would think a SP "tech" would know what it was for.
Also..the $70 bill thus far..like i said above..is it just me or is that riddiculous? Just to change some eyes and hook up the noid board which both consist of taking a few screws out and pluging some wires in....
In Brief:
Who should pay the bill for the tech?
