    Recommend me some boots!!

Well, me feet finally have raised the white flag and I think my days of playing in cleats are over.

I need areally good pair of boots; wear'em all day, track through the muck, wade through the snow, Oooo my feet still feel good after wearing them for 6 hours kinda of boots.

    Anyone got a recommendation?

I still wear cleats, but I have a pair of Wolverine Whitetails that I hog hunt in and they are great. They are lightweight, comfortable (all day long), waterproof, and reasonably priced. I think they would be great for paintball. You can find them at www.cabelas.com. Check em out.

Timberland Pro. Ti alloy toe. I think they are called powerfit. Ill get a pic later. I have to wear steel toed boots for work, and these things are awesome. I wear them to play paintball, to school, and to work, to ride my CBR600, I go running every night, and sometimes I just leave them on because I am too lazy to find tennis shoes. They are lightweight, and have awesome tread/cushion protection. I have gone through~a dozen diffferent pairs of boots with diff manufactures from red wing to wolverine to you name it. These are probally the best fitting boots I have ever purchased. I think they run ~120-130. I got mine from a place called Eliots boots, but they can be found at sears, etc.

Has anyone ever worn the Oakley combat boots?

            http://oakley.com/o/o3552d

Those things look comfy, I own a pair of the casual slip-ons and they are some of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.

              Civilian-ized Marine Corps Boots

I wear these (only that I pay $90 for them and they have the Eagle, Globle, and Anchor on them) from when I was in the service. They are expensive,... but being in some nasty places I can tell you,.... its ur feet,.. how comfortable at the end of the day relies on the footwear you strap to them.

I would pay this for good boots,... they cant be beat. Lots of companies make AWESOME boots. Just pay above a hundred bucks for a boot thats :Gortex, goes above your ankle (for those of us that play aggressivly) and is of a non-polishable material. I like my boots cause when they get full of mud and such on the outside I leave them dry, the mud falls off, then I take a scuzz-brush and clean the remaining crap off with just water.

You get what you pay for,.... I bought 3 pairs of boot from wa-mart for $150, got a can of water-proofer per boot and let it rip. They worked good for when I was on the job ste,.. but when I went into the swamps at the field,.. I now use my good boots for that.

              Good luck!

Right now Magnum boots are going through a design change, so you might be able to find some of the older style boots on clearance. I got a pair of Viper 6" boots for $18.75 recently.

I've had 4 pairs of Timberland Work Pro boots and they're awesome. They fit like a glove and last forever. I think my oldest pair are 6 years old. Highly recommended. Of course, I also wait until these come on sale and I have a discount. I've gotten them for as low as $40 ish, regular price $90.

Another vote for Magnums...extremely light and they hold up well too. Danner boots are good as well, but they cost about 3x as much.

I ride horses and play paintball/airsoft so like boots almost like some girls like shoes...

If you want a great boot...

I have 2 pairs of these and am looking to get a third not because they wore out but because they are good. They dont have all that fancy dupont material in them they are thick straight foward leather that has nothing to catch on and will last along time. Not to mention they have a great warrenty, I'm about to get one pair resoled. The MSRP on them is pretty steep but I have picked up mine for under $100.

                          EDIT:
These folks are really big on getting you the right size boot. I wear an 11.5 B. First time I ever got a boot with the right width and that really made a difference.

I wear the redwing boots almost every day. ESP when Im on my feet all day long.

                          Then...
Danner boots are a mark of superior craftsmanship, Our hiking, hunting, work, military, and law enforcement boots are built with GORE-TEX waterproof liners, durable Vibram outsoles, and full-grain leather.

Great company. I have had a pair of custom tall boots made by them and they are awsome. I wish I could wear them all the time, but its not the 1890's.

No matter which boot you go with just remember this : You get what you pay for.

I got a nicer pair of used boots via a gun and knife show, 85$ for used boots was sort of high but the things were comfortable, fit excellently and just felt "right". I got the higher topped ones because they were the ones that fit and made my ankle a little better

My buddy got a new pair off of ebay from a store. 45$ usd he thought was pretty good. 50$ On duty at the border, 15$ shipping fee. He has to wear 3 pairs of socks to make them fit right. They are not very resistant to water at all.
