You actually bolt the drop on the bottom of the asa. You then use an asa screw in (like on remotes) and run marco to the drops asa.

are you saying you think the assault 80's and epics are similar in fuction or in the type of people and ideas that buy them?Originally posted by TollDoes anyone else channel the Assault 80 line of marker when they see this?
From what I've seen of them they'll never be found used simply because there aren't that many out there that people would want to get rid of. That'd be my back up marker for the rest of my paintballing days until I tinkered with it and broke it.
if you are saying the function than not really, but the type of person that would buy it i would tend to agree with you

Its been out longer than that, it was around when I started playing back in 2000, I remember hearing a fair amount about it so it had probably just recently come out back then but yes, they're pretty old. I didn't know they still made them truthfully they were never that popular, it seems like every few years someone sees one and asks about them here but yes, as I've never seen one in real life and have nothing more to add I'll end this post.Comment

Epic info
I have tested several epics over the years, and can explain some of the changes and differences from its inception.
First,
the purpose for the "finger door" is to "breech" the ball into the firing position.
Prior to the finger ICE tested and released a sizing kit assortment of doors to help stabilize the ball. {similar to paint to barrel match}

The finger does not act like a bolt because.
A bolt not only pushes the ball into position, it also seals the chamber, and in most cases applies great force on the ball while doing it.
The finger merely guides the ball into the breech with less than 3 pounds of pressure.
Second,
The size of the Epic is small in relation to a standard mag

Third,
Here is a video I made when Haters were saying my epic "sucked"
