The orings in the freak kit hold inserts pretty darned snug... I doubt they move anywhere when shooting.

I shot my WWA justice barrel (accepts freak inserts) for the first time last week. It shot the budget paint really well. Plus it has like almost all solid barrel with just a 1" muzzle break for sweet efficiency. Plus, the barrel alone is only $45 new and just buy inserts as you need them.

A second vote for this. I've bought two of these. One went with a marker package I sold, one is now on my emag. Awesome barrel, looks great, not too loud, and works great with the inserts. I'll most likely get one for my Tac One as well.

Well, if availability is the concern, then the WW barrels would be your last choice I would wager. They are great barrels, have a great design, and an unbeatable price. Availability is absolutely horrible, and good luck getting it in other thread patterns.

Both of mine showed up the week I ordered them. Guess I got lucky.

I have used a freak kit, titanium longbow kit, and Scepter kit (pre '07) and the only barrel kit I still have is the scepter kit. I think the thing shoots DARTS!!! Since I mainly shoot a Viking I don't get many breaks so I can't say how it shoots through breaks but I still like it alot. The inserts are very easy to change and from what Powerlyte told me last time I called, you should be able to get parts for their older kits from the store as soon as then get all the 07 parts in so they should have them now. Also you can get the older used kits used, you just have to look around for them.

I did a personal test a couple years back with my brothers matchstick kit and my pieced together cp kit(both threaded for spyders). The matchstick seemed to have slightly tighter shot groupings than the cp. I think the paint was rec-sport.

I have a 5 piece matchstick for my sniper and it seems to shoot okay. The problem I have is that the smallest back is too big for the field paint out here so I lose the benefits of having a kit.
