Exactly the way I feel! Couger's though? It is a nice looking gun, but doesn't fit this statement. Did guns have funky colours, macro lines and tank covers back in the day????

Ttink and Gord Designs have the only 100% "classic" mags in my opinion.

Ttink has my vote, since it is what you would have seen back in the day and it is 100% AGD. I wonder how many people actually noticed the Micro CA stock, and actually know it for the fantastic AGD product that it is.

Great turnout with the pumpmags. I've got one too, but it's not as much decked out in the "oldschool" style.

Also very cool to have my lil' project in the final 5 - though it seems to be the oddball in the field! :) Thanks to everyone for their votes, and muchos gracias to Jay for running the whole damn thing!

I'm honored to have made it to the finals. Tough competition, guys!

I updated to my 2nd pic instead, since it shows off the custom sidestock better:

No tanks covers or macro but the basic gun including the funky colors does represent what would have been considered super custom back then. The other guns are more stock and nice but they don't give me that "oh yea" feeling.

There are just so many ways to go with this contest. I was kinda going for old skool in spirit but still custom and unique.

Putting up an out of the box stock 'old' marker doesn't quite seem like an acomplishment , other than the finding of it in the first place :) but that's not going to give many people a fair chance.

I was thinking back in my old days and what 'modded' or custom was back then to me. Lot's of swapping around of parts from diffferent guns , anno'd colors was fairly new , carving them up yourself when the aftermarket wasn't an option , performance bases upgrades and things like that.

I guess it's kinda like old cars , you can have a bone stock '63 split window vette , highly desirable but just as much as say 55' or 7 Belair with a blown BBC.

I'm open tho , tell me how you'd like it to go and I'll tune it accordingly.

Thanks for the comments. Im glad you like it.

To anwser some ot the questions on the colored parts.

The rail and barrel pictured are older AGD parts. Old enough to have been milled with the pump slot. They are original AGD purple ano. I also have the matching back bottle and siterail. The foregrip parts are kapp. The frame and drop are benchmark parts. the on/off i think is a CP. Anyone know the production #'s for purple ano parts?

The airline is microline. The real small stuff. My main reason for using it is that it doesnt scratch the ano. Otherwise i would use stainless. The tank cover is purely function its a fiberwrap tank. Akso was just the tank i had grabbed that day. I know the gun isnt 100% the way it would have been. I put the gun together with new parts except the valve was used. about 2-3 years ago. I got lucky finding new old parts. But it does get heavily used.

I voted for couger. The stainless and purple work well and remind me of the old days, not that I'm an old timer or anything. The big drop helps in the oldschool factor also.

??? How Can Anyone Not Like Pumpmags setup???

Thats weird??? Seems like not many people here on automags.org like stockclass huh? Out of all the markers, pumpmags setup is the bomb, hahahaha... No but seriously, pumpmags rock n' cocker setup definitely looks better than Phantoms and Carters. Hey pumpmag, big props to you for the custom job on that rock and cock mag. good luck and hope everyone will take notice.

I can tell you why I don't like them...they're not really pump guns, They're semi guns being forced to be a pump.

I've played with one before and it was awesome but it didn't give me the pump "feel". I was basically taking a nice semi out onto the field whose bolt needed a little help to catch the sear.

When I think of what 'Mags represented in the old days, I don't think of a 'Mag pump. 'Mags were the semi you bought to replace your pump.

If I was to make an analogy with classic cars, it would be like seeing a pickup truck modified to a drag racer, or a '57 Chevy made into a monster truck. Sure, it's cool but something about it just doesn't seem right.

Jaan, I was actually expecting to see yours here as a finalist too. Yours really gave me the old school feeling.

I get what your saying about converting the Mag to pump. I am holding back the power of a semi. But it's nice to know it's there if you need it.

For me I've been an Automag shooter since the early 90's. But when I was out of the game for a couple years and came back everthing went electro. Pump play really brought me back into paintball so then I got hooked on Pump tournament play and since having been an Automag owner for so long, the Pump conversion really felt right. I really didn't like to buy any other pump gun because I love playing with my Mag.

I've been shooting this PumpMag with a powerfeed setup and pumpkit for over 2 yrs until this sidestock conversion.

Now with the sidestock, when I shoot, gotta tip it forward, pump it, make sure there's paint, aim and make sure not to miss.......with this style.....to me that's oldschool. :)

As Fireblade said its all subjective.

I've always been very fond of Duzzy's gold mag as well as Cougar's pump. I'm shocked I made it to finals
