I have several kids who frequents my shop who makes some of the funniest BpS statments I've ever heard. Most of them practice shooting fast, they don't practice playing, they don't practice accuracy, they just practice shooting fast(which is funny because I'd put them at 16-17BPS max) but they make all sorts of claims about how fast they shoot, it would be pretty funny if there were'nt so many of them and they weren't so adiment about it.
Unlimited BPS!

Lvl 10 has been out since I first came into the mag world, and I remember when Zak released that video. I saw his site a few times before with just the dry-firing from a scuba vid up, and then one day it had the 34 bps vid andOriginally posted by SCpoloRickerI don't recall if we were using LVL X when the infamous Mag-into-Scuba 34bps video was made. I think we were using LVL 7.
you know you play this game too much when the neighbors stop fixing their broken windows...

sounds like the average unintelligible shop owners these days.
i had one that years ago insisted the same unlimited bps thing on a bushy or was it 66.6 bps he claimed
its really pretty sad that these are the types of people running "proshops". I cant recall the last time i went to a shop and was impressed with what the owner(manager) new. Well i can, but that shop is long gone

The guy who runs our local "pro" shop is an idiot douche. I came in asking if they had mag parts. He responded with, "Hell no, they are old, slow, and heavy. I don't carry those pieces of crap". Then he asked me if I wanted to get an Ion to replace it. I go back from time to time, just for laughs.Comment

Interesting update, I talked to another player today between games and he has also seen the same issue with a DM6 experiencing shootdown in the 18 - 20 bps range. However, he said that replacing the LPR solved the problem.
Are you telling me that the DM6 was sold with and LPR that cannot keep up with the marker? For a marker that expensive, such an issue seems odd.Andrew Borntreger

Is the marker really made to shoot that fast? Or is it made to shoot 15 bps? Give or take a few for the semi only events and millenium...
I have never expeirenced any shootdown with my proto, but it stays on PSP ramping majority of the time and when it is in semi I pull 15-17 so I am still not getting to that 20 bps range..
My old dm4 did have uncapped ramping , although I didn't use uncapped ramping much other then to show it off to people..but when I did I didn't expierence shoot down.
I am pretty sure the LPR and HPR are more then capable of keeping up with 20+ bps range, seeing how the only limitation to how fast the dm4's shot (when NXL was uncapped, and when uncapped ramping was "popular" for lack of a better term) was the noid.
Much shoot down issues can probably be corrected with proper and regular lubrication of the bolt, hpr, and lpr...Not to mention players seem to love to take a brand new gun and make uneccasary changes to the settings on the board and with the LPR to make it more efficient or what not..
Also,I have never seen any claims from dye about how fast there markers will shoot. I'm not saying there isn't any, but I do not recall ever seeing any claims..Last edited by CKY_Alliance; 05-28-2007, 01:29 PM.Comment

Joe you shoot weaver or iso?
As for the claim of 45 with a 6.. well mine never went over 15-16 without a tuss, although it did shoot a little faster than that the shootdown pretty much made it a 15 bps marker (which is fine by me)
The new 07 Borgs... they are supposed to go REAL fast if the loader can handle it.Comment

i could only get 20-22 sustained on my 06 cyborg (clearly maxing a sustained rate on a halo)... wich is essentially the same thing as an 07borg, wich is only a few ounces lighterOriginally posted by gruntbullJoe you shoot weaver or iso?
