Is the pump mount suppose to sit flush with the rail?

This is the way its suppose to be mounted, i used the long bolt because the short one will not reach the nut. The pump mount was not milled correctly. It is suppose to sit flush on the bottome of the rail.Originally posted by mpsdYou have it mounted wrongly. Turn it upside down
The longer bolt will stick on the milled part and then you can mount the ASA or foregrip on it.Comment

is it really suppose to? my rail to pump mount has a similar gap, but when i place the nut in the milled bottom part, the short screw reaches it fine.Originally posted by PumpMagPost more pics, different angles around it.
The orientation and positioning is where is should be. But yes, the rail should go flush into that beveled groove.

^^ the front seems fine though.Comment

Test fired it at AO SoCal game the day after I assembled it. Shot many a player she did!

hey guys
I spoke to the last 4 guys i sent kits to i like a tard mixed up the mounts with ones that were wrong with a huge gap. and am sending the right ones ASAP
The small gap is there intentionally (on the rest of the ones i sent out) before I get why is there a gap lol it was put in there to help avoid the metal on metal rubbing between the minimag bodies and the pump handle. Again we went from a plastic composite or delrin handle to aluminum.Last edited by jay8541; 01-21-2008, 05:26 AM.Comment

Yup. The original Factory AGD pump kit handle rubs against the body especially the Minimag body. I remedied this on my Factory AGD kit by adding a small oring to serve as a spacer between the body and grip vertical screw. This creates a gap just as Jay has designed into his kit.
After shooting my CI pump kit for the first time (literally the day after assembly), no body against handle rubbing was evident. Obviously Jay put much careful planning into his kits to avoid frictional rub issues of the body against the handle.
Jay you the man!
