I think they are definately working on other projects and given the low numbers they would be looking at for this project leaving it on the back burner till they don't have more money to make on something else. No broken promises at any rate. If it happens great we will all have a new most excellent mag body to add to the collection (or make your primary whatever). If it doesn't we call all still get boring old ULE's and do the same thingOriginally posted by EngusIm guessing PTP is just busy with more important things, but it is kind of discouraging to not really have any progress after 10 months.

I know, we were told that from the beginning that this is a low priority so I'm not upset or anything. I would just love to see what forest has come up with.Comment

Yeah that and they didn't start a preorder or need one. They wanted to know how much interest. PTP also stated they would take money when they were in production and ready to deliver not before.Originally posted by Ruler_Markatleast unlike other preorders they didnt take in any $$Comment

I couldn't take it any longer had to call PTP and get the low down on this project.
Long story short Forest is excited about the project and plans to do it but it is a big unknown as to when. He did say they have a patent they intend to apply to the project
Also when the machines are programed and the material is ready to machine they will let us know and start taking orders for a limited run. Probably not till next year at the earliest.
Some bits of the long story:
PTP is in the process of moving to Maine.
Some key employees have been in tragic accidents and can't work anymore.
Once they are settled in and have things together this project will hopefully come to the top of the list.
Bottom line if you are holding your breath you might want to take a break from that and look to next year. Looks like it will be real just not this Christmas.Comment

Hi Everyone,
Sorry it's been awhile since I have been on. We have had a few calls about the Micromag project and it is not dead!!! It has been a very crazy and busy year. We just relocated to Portland, Maine. And we still aren't totally setup quite yet. I can't tell you when Forest will get this done for all of you, but he will. He is a man of his word, but he isn't always timely. I can't wait for the day that I can tell all of you that we are moving forward and actually putting them on the machines. Please don't get discouraged the day will come!! I promise.
