The solenoid measures: 35.3mm in length by 8.0mm in width by 16.0mm in height.

They also sport a 150psi input pressure. The little SMC S070 are far less than that.



From what I understand, you can use any LED you want on one side, its the optical pickup side that will be the issue.

The way I figured it: with a little time spent in measuring it all out and getting someone to machine the holes exactly, it can be done like you were thinking. Your way would prove very wise for ULE owners that want to take their body apart and clean it at the end of the day.

I'll have to check if I can fit that noid in my intelli, its already a tight fit with just the tiny smc. where are the ports at on it? Thats going to be the main factor in determining the mounting position. 150psi sounds good too, would allow for a slightly smaller ram with lower volume to be used too.

do you have these noids available now?


Yea I really loved that eye setup, would allow for extremely field stripping of the marker along with great access to cleaning the eyes. Another option I was considering is slightly slotting the body so they eyes could partially set into the it(kind of like an ion breech), but still be held in place by the holders mounted to the rail. Has all the same benifits, but the body has to be milled instead of just drilled out.

Yes. The solenoid carries enough operational pressure to work for the 13.3bps.

When I say 15-18bps,... those are MY testing results. In a RARE case, I had one go 20bps,.. but it was very ify and I would not recommend it or offer it in any of my installs.

For what you are asking, this solenoid will work just fine.
