Just, got to tell you I recieved the DIY board last week and installed it lastnight. I don't know how a person that owns an Emag could live without this board! It rips!! This is the Greatest product you guys carry, in my opinion!!!!! Thanks again for your sweet products!

This might be a dumb question, but how hard is the DYI install on a viking with eyes?

All DIY kits are $150. I have some more on order, so if you want one, just PM or post your PayPal address, and I will get you an invoice sent out.

There is no Predator board specifically for the ION, you just need to use a Predator Morlock or DIY kit.

To install a DIY kit in a viking that already has eyes, you just need to know how to solder, the rest is already done (machine work for the eyes, etc), so its not too hard.

Right now, I don't want to do anymore eye installs on the EMags, because they are such a PITA, and I don't have a huge amount of time to spend on them anymore. In order to make it worth my while, I'd have to have a bunch of money to do the work.

Sorry for the dely on the responses, I was out of state picking up some equipment.

That doesn't sound to bad at all, i know how to solder and since i don't have to do any body modifications it sounds pretty easy.

I"ll have to get some more funds to order up a new board.

When will you have them in stock again?

If you get the milling and the board you will probably come close to the total Coolhand charges... Might as well let him install it and get the warranty.

                        Emag no eyes DIY kit...

                        Stupid question, but I'll ask:

How good are the directions that come with the DIY kits? I am looking to do an install on Emag lowers without eyes (using level 10). I am an IT director and MCSE, also used to solder sound boards back in the day.....

                        Thanks!

They come with a pinout of the board connector, and that's about it. You will need to know how the HES hooks up, and how to ground the board to make it work in an EMag.

Its not rocket science, but if you couldn't build a simple circuit from scratch without a step by step guide, you may want to send it in, or find someone close who can help you.

From the sound of it though, you should be fine.

Update on installation for Red X-Mag

Any possibilities my brother will get his X by next week? He's leaving for Florida for work until September. We're hoping to get it back before he leaves.

Mike - TAG had trouble with the XMag, so it is coming back to me to be finished up (its not their fault, they don't deal with them at all). The board is fixed though, its just a matter of making sure all the wires are run correctly (I think the HES harness got turned around backwards when I was trying to trouble shoot the dead board before). At any rate, I can ship it to him in Florida if we don't make it.

Duzzy - Its just fine, lounging by the pool, waiting on the board and eye covers. I haven't even touched it yet, as I wanted to make sure I could get covers for the eyes before I cut on it any at all. It looks like I'll be able to get them in two or three weeks though. Once I have covers secured, I will do the machine work, and then it will just be down to Bob getting me a dual 'noid Pred. They had a setback on the next gen Pred Morlocks, so we just have to wait it out.
