We do offer it still, it is about 30 dollars for a SS body, less for smaller parts.

NO powdercoating, it is Black Oxide finish.

          Thanks

do you have any larger examples of the ss blackening. ill take the plunge if need be, for a discounted price?

Its a proven technique I don't see the need to give a discount. I think the largest we have done is a pump arm for a AC.

A SS body would be no problem though.

oh ok sounds good, i meant if i would have been the first with a large item.

do you have any pics of the item you guys did in this finish. im more interested in the finish ,ie is it a gloss, dust or flat? im very interested in doing this to my mag(body, valve and all hardware)

Sorry we dont strip Paint of any kind. It is a foul contaminant and we rather not risk the line removing paint. (although I bet you could remove it yourself and then send it to us no problem )

As for pics of more SS blackening, not really, not too many have asked to do much more than screws or bolt pins.

Hey Gruntbull, I'm gonna ship my cyborg on Tuesday. I had the tech at my local shop make sure the milled body worked perfectly and sealed and everything, and I forgot they weren't open on Sunday, so I can't pick it up till after class on Monday.

Gruntbull...on my cyborg neither I or the proshop have a schrader valve removal tool to take out the piece in the lpr...is there any way that you could take it out prior to ano and put it back in afterwards without charging me the full disassembly price as it's just one tiny piece?

Your local tire shop can take it out (Schrader valve is the valve in your tire stem)

But yes we can take it out, and not charge you full price.

We dont put things back in unless full price is paid due to liability issues in the past.

                                Thanks
