W/O prices you arent gonna get very far (i know youll have them up soon). Even with prices you better not charge to much or itll just fall through. Your not the first person to offer this. The last guy (bawithaba i believe) wanted a lot to have it done and he would not tell anyone who was doing it for him. He was essentially (i think) just trying to make a decently large profit on it. Needless to say pretty much all interest was dropped shortly after the idea came up and he had a few parts done. Most of the parts turned out less than good except for a few blue parts which were his. I wouldnt put up actual pics of aurora guns unless your work compares becuase youll just dissapoint. Just thought id throw that info out there for ya. BTW, didnt you just get banned on PBN?

When you have a few pictures of your work and some prices I am interested. I'll keep an eye on this thread for more information. I hope to see it come along as I have always loved the Aurora look.

i assume the success rate is really low if you are really putting aurora plating on it.

Planet Eclipse when they offered this type of plating said that the success rate is about 10%. very low odds, but incredible looks. roll the dice take a chance, who knows, you might just be a winner

Right now im not offering it on entire guns, only small parts. such as regs, eye covers, asa, on/offs, and that sort of thing.

I think mag bodies might be a little different, just because the setup is a little different then other gun. Like I said once I get the samples back I will start offering the service to everyone.

Is this more of a polished anodized surface that get's the color effects like this, or is it an actual plating process (similar to chroming) that gets the color effects added.

If it's a plating process, have you thought about how to handle the tolerence changes on the mainbody?
Also, plating tends to chip over time. Is there any words about that possiblility you could offer?

I am so close to sending you my mag pending pics and a bit more info.

Yes I thought about the chipping, and I do have the perfect plan to counteract those effects. I will post up the pictures as they come along with a video of the durability. The mag main bodies will undergo a small tolerance change, but nothing that would affect the performance of the gun.
