        If he's really doing it correctly and I'm going to guess by the company how owns the process , it get's polished, then chromed or nickled then the 'Aurora' layer.

        It's diamond tough and really , the success rate (if it's who I think it is) is near 100%. The PE nonsense was pretty much exagerated to inflate demand and pricing. It will jack Mag tolerances a bit. I didn't do enough to get an exact figure but it wasn't too bad. Powder coat is far worse.

                      Um that Tac mag price isn't ridiculous, especially with that custom anno and the fact that it is pump milled. The anno alone would cost over $300. Pump milling is around $100. A regular Tac One set up like that is worth around $400 used. $800 is about right.
