Hey wait, isn't the reg normally in the front? Did I miss something? I haven't seen a Shocker in years.

There is no reg in the shocker. you feed it air. (regulated of course) and it works. it doesn't "manage" the air pressure at all internally.

Is there any other gun that is dual solenoid? Seems like such a waste of air to me.

Hmm... I think that's it for dual solinoid guns. Appearantly the excal is about as efficant as it's single solinoid viking cousin.

Someone once said the '03 bushy has 2 solenoids. Don't know who or where so who knows how valid that is.

Just a note Eblades and Raceguns only have one pnuematic solinoid. The other is your normal electrical similiar to the Emag...

i know this is an old post but i'm wodnering why dony tou just eliminate the fill popet and valve make it run like a matrix ?

The matrix HAS a fill poppet. "in theroy" the matrix runs just like a mag, or any other well thought out dump chamber gun. The matrix bolt closes off the dump chamber (using that last set of o-rings on the bolt) before fireing. that's what the back poppet in a shocker does, and the on/off in a mag does.

The biggest thing I was seeing with the shocker, is that it could be a good design, much smaller, much lightre, much more efficant. Without going to the matrix clone setup they have going now. I thought the stacked tube design was unique ;-)

then why not shrink the bottom tube (fill popet / vlave)
and run it at a higher pressure say 500? and then run an lpr to the bolt noid ?

Why bother with a seccond solinoid? with a proper setup of the shape and length of the fire poppet, you could get LX like bolt preformance. And then still save on recock air. A lpr might be a good idea for the fire poppet though.
