Yes, the X mag is just another marker, right. I have a question, have you ever shot one?

no one around hear buys trash man.. i mean theres like 1 guy runing a mag, and hes got a mini and like a classic with forgrip and like 45 frame's thats it besides barrels and like a revie...but i got a classic RT mag for my gf to use. i showed her some pictures online and she liked the mags and then i showed her the classic RT pic to see if she liked it, and she did so i got that(so she would have a fast gun),.,. and if mags are so great why do alot of people put cocker parts on them????

And which cocker parts can you put on a mag?

The only functional part you can NOW put on a mag is a cocker threaded barrel.

            Trash?

Umkay. Let's remember that up until e-frames for cockers, you had a nice slow ROF. Whereas the RT Mag is the fastest mechanical marker.

And even still, E/Xmags are STILL faster than the Eblades.

And the reason for the barrel switch? Ease of use in finding a decent barrel. Not b/c they are better. Just easier to find.

The weight differences are minimal at best between twist lock and threaded barrels, the only reason they converted is because it was a bit harder to find mag twist lock barrels because a machine cant just do it so simply, theres alot more to drilling a big hole and putting an L groove in a barrel then doing little threads.....Twist lock barrels are faster to remove, and they have no seams to mess with the ball like cockers and every other threaded barrel has, palmer uses a clamp stlye to hold on non threaded barrels to his blazers because he wanted the barrel and body to be as seamless as possible.

Cockers shoot with a closed bolt, when the bolt is in the foreward position, the paintball is pushed past the ball detent. If the paint is too small it will roll out of the barrel. This was early on and still is a problem for cocker owners, so to remedy this, cocker users would match the barrel to their paint, and vise versa. Due to the correct barrel to paint match, cocker owners were most likely getting better range. Us cocker users were practicing paint to barrel matching out of necessity, before is was an established method for accuracy. Today, it seems as if we are on a level playing ground.
You hit the nail on the head. Almost any gun can be as accurate as another with proper paint-to-barrel match and a consistent air source.

If the velocities are equal(FPS), the weight of the paintballs are equal, the angle of projection is the same, and you dont mess with the space/time continuum, or the gravity on earth(which I is where I assume you are playing)... Physics dictate that they WILL fall at the SAME PLACE. Ask any one who shoots a Howitzer/Mortar or throws a shotput. The only thing that we can do to change the distance is to impose a spin rate on the ball. Hence the flatline barrel by Tippmann and others.
Now accuracy that is another story.......
