ist there a different manual to use the new german programmer?? i downloaded avr..but it wont connect..what do i need to download for the new german programmer to work..i got it plugged in..my emag panel is taken off..im just tryin to figure out what program im supposed to be using..

You must have the User Guide rev0.5. It still uses AVR Studio but its much different how you do it, and you must also download the driver for it.

i have yet to check my ports, but when i turn on my board the only light that pops on in the power light. I was wondering if there is anything else that anyone knows about that i could check for to know if there is something wrong with the board or wrong with me. Before when the board turned on three lights lit up...power,status, and the light above the VTARGET. Another thing is the board fails to connect in the AVR menu button. My main concern right now is getting the board back to normal operation. Any input would be helpful.

i downloaded the AVR studio 4.12..where do i find the driver to download..is it on the site too?

Do you have the User Guide rev0.5 if not email me and request it. I do not reply to manual requests as PM's or posts. If you have it follow the directions in there. If you are having problems please be very specific as to what you are doing and what is happening. If you get an error message I need to know exactly what it says.

i flashed the marker and it read the new software...i went to get an airfill..my local pawn shop usually does fills..yeah a pawn shop..guess its cuz people pawn alot of pb gear..and so i go to get in and the door has this wierd iron door set up..that requires them to buzz you in..saftey precaution or something..so im waiting for like 5 minutes just to get in..im like damn..hello??? so finally another customer tells them i need to be let in..so i get in..and the tech isnt around..he is pretty good at basic pb knowledge..but i dont see him..some kid is like..ohh i can do the fill...he walks away..ok co2..is this a 20 oz tank??...im like is the other gy here?..no..ok give me back my tank..then i looked at him....shook my head and walked away..i had handed him a 112 fiber wrapped hpa tank..and he asked if it was a 20 oz co2 tank...so ill just wait till 2 morrow to play with my xmodded emag..when i can get to a real proshop..

just wondering if anyone else is haveing a problem gettign thier programer to work

followed all steps in order and keep getting the same message when i start studio and follow directions "no supprted board found " have tried to uninstall and reninstall like the manual says multiple times and still no luck


i will try it on another pc i have and see if that helps


any help would be appreciated

I have the same problem, and I am also going to try it on another pc tomorrow- let me know if you have any luck.

:) I reset the serial port thru the device mgr as it said in the threads, and yes even blind squirrels can find watermelons. IT is loaded! If I can do this, there is hope for all of the technically challenged everywhere.

I am sure this is the problem. I can't tell you how many times i reinstalled the program. When i go into rools>AVR prog menu I am still getting a "No supported board found: AVRprogram version 1.40". In userguide0.4 you say don't do anything until the status light flashes green and stays green....i am not getting this anymore...the only light that is on the board when i power it up is the red power light and that is it.

Also i think this is directly related to my board not found, if i go into tools>program AVR>auto connect.....the message comes back...."connection failed".

Does it matter whether the board is connected when AVR studio 4.12 460 is installed?

I'm lost and not to mention technology illiterate(when it comes to programming or trouble shooting) :)

First of all going to Tools>> AVR Prog... is for the ICProg-AVR only. All the installation instructions for the STK500 have been removed from from the current User Guide since there is now a cheaper and easier way. However if you are haveing problems please send me PM's and I will do my best to help you.

Well I got to play around with the gun today before I headed off to work and the only thing I can say is OMG. Lornecash I know you have heard it a ton but still YOU THE MAN.

On a side note I know you were pretty busy bring us a bug free flash so I can't complain, but when do you thing you will get the time to send me the flash with the custom boot screen?

In BETA 1.61 I changed the EEPROM to only reset the value that was corrupted. My goal is to fix that so that if the EEPROM is corrupted it resets all of the values first. Once that's done I will send out the custom Boot messages. I should have time this weekend to fix that and hopefully enough to do all the custom boot message orders and update everyone who has already paid for a custom boot message.

Operational Testing?

I have finally downloaded the software. This puppy will definately shut angel fans up. From one CS student to another; this is the effect of many hours squashing exceptions in source code. Nice work. Has anyone operational tested thier mags yet? I'm interested in some feedback. I am playing this weekend, and will let everyone know how it works for me!

You must not have noticed but there is a thread titled XMOD BETA Testers ONLY also in Deep Blue that I started. All useful questoins/comments are to be posted there. If anyone thinks they are haveing a unique problem please email me first and I will let you know if I think you shoud post it there.
